Todd Jewell, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
I have been an Associate Veterinarian at VCA Pahle Animal Hospital since September 2006.
I really enjoy the close relationships that I have developed over the years with our clients and their family (pets). we are also blessed with a dedicated, knowledgeable and supportive staff that makes our jobs easier.
I was born in Arlington, Texas - Home of the Texas Rangers & Dallas Cowboys and yes I am a lifelong fan of both, but have learned to love and support the Brewers & Packers too.
I attended the University of Texas-Arlington for my Bachelors - studying architecture & biology. I attended Kansas State University for my Doctorate and really enjoyed in depth internal medicine cases as well as orthopedic surgery.
I generally enjoy a lot of outdoor activities including golf, beach volleyball, hiking/backpacking, camping, fishing on Lake Michigan, snowboarding, running when chased, and travel (beaches or mountains preferred, but anywhere is good too). However, I can be lazy and enjoy a good cup of coffee, tea or beer and watching TV too.
Most of my family still lives in Texas - I have an older sister and two younger step-brothers - and I am the proud uncle to two nephews (Grayson & Will).
I am proud of a number of accomplishments in my life including becoming an Eagle Scout, becoming a Veterinarian and certainly discovering my faith in God.
I currently have two cats (down from 2 dogs, 4 cats & a rat) - Charlotte is an all white sweet, shy and talkative domestic short haired kitty & Riley is a three-legged orange Maine Coon kitty who seems a little slow at times, but I love him dearly. One of my favorite pets was my pet rat - Wheezie - she was such a character, the cats were scared of her and she would come to you when called.
My favorite holidays are any in which we get family together and certainly get to enjoy some good food and fellowship together. Thanksgiving & Christmas mainly.
Dr. Jewel came to our hospital in September of 2006. He grew up in Arlington Texas and graduated from Kansas State University. He also did a medical/surgical internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists.
