Many thanks.

Pet Name: Hayden
Dear Dr. Allred and team,
I wanted to take a moment to say "thank you" to all of the wonderful staff members of Oso Creek Animal Hospital who cared for my baby boy, Hayden, in his last days.
Although we ultimately lost our beloved Hayden, the care that Oso Creek Animal Hospital provided for our handsome kitty cat was beyond compare. I raised him from a kitten and was heartbroken when we heard that we had lost him. We would have anyway, it was his time. But the team at Oso Creek did everything possible that they could have done for him. We were lucky to have him for 11 years.
Dr. Allred, in particular, was such an amazing force. Not only did she do everything she could to save him, she called me personally to say how sorry she was after Hayden passed away. Hayden was the only pet I ever had so I’m not sure if that’s typical protocol, but I’m pretty sure it isn’t. Thank you, Dr. Allred, for that phone call. It meant so much.
Also a huge thank you to Barbie; who promised to tell my sweet boy how much his Mommy loved him the day before he passed. I have no doubt that she did just that.
I apologize for not knowing everyone’s name there at Oso Creek, but suffice to say that you were ALL wonderful to me, to my partner Sandy, and to our sweet Hayden.
I received a letter today from Texas A&M University Veterinary Medical Center to inform me that a donation was made to them from Oso Creek Animal Hospital in Hayden’s memory. This letter was totally unexpected, and the gratitude is beyond words.
With many thanks and a multitude of respect,
Emily McMannes and Sandy Carnes (Hayden’s mommies), and Eleanor McMannes Lawton (Hayden’s grandmother) -

Pet Name: Mr. Kitty
Shortly after leaving for the night shift at a local hospital, I received a frantic call from my daughter and son informing me that our cat, Mr. Kitty, wasn't breathing right and they were scared he might die. I told them to look up 24 hour emergency clinics for animals. They found this facility and it was close to home. Once there, I was told, they took immediate care and concern of Mr. Kitty and ran several tests and found that he had heart worms. I couldn't believe it!! I didn't think cats got heart worms. The care and compassion Mr. Kitty received was over and beyond what I would have expected. They kept him overnight and put him on a round of antibiotics and steroids. Once home, Mr. Kitty, did well. Dr. Vaughan was prompt in following up, but unfortunately, we played a little phone tag. After Mr. Kitty's steroids were up he again started working a little harder at breathing. I called the hospital and explained that Dr. Vaughan wanted to continue him on his steroids a bit longer, but that we had been playing tag and with Mr. Kitty again working at breathing, I was worried it would become emergent again. Dr. Vaughan was not on that night, a Dr. Higginbotham saw him. She was kind, compassionate and professional as were all the staff there. She pulled Mr. Kitty's file and continued with Dr. Vaughn's recommendations without having to further test Mr. Kitty. Mr. Kitty has been off his steroids for about a month now and is again playing with our other cat and glad to announce putting on weight. I will never be able to express my gratitude as Mr. Kitty is so precious to us. I highly recommend this facility to everyone!!! -

Pet Name: BogieThanks to Dr. Arrington and all the staff for being so kind when we brought in our brand new 1 lb 11 oz. Yorkie, Bogie. Dr. Arrington's thorough check of all possibilities was that "above and beyond" attitude that you rarely see anymore. Thanks to him, Bogie is back to his playful, crazy self and I am one relieved "Momma"! God bless you all as you care for God's creatures who have no voice.

Bosco
-Janie and Luis Jimenez from Corpus Christi, TX
Pet Name: BoscoWe would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation to all the staff members at VCA Oso Creek Animal Hospital who cared for our beloved son, Bosco, in his last days. We unfortunately lost our beloved son, Bosco, but it wasn't for the lack of medical attention or medical care. It was just his time to go to HEAVEN. The medical care that was provided was beyond comparison. Thank you to all the emergency care doctors and technicians who cared for our son. We will never forget the medical attention, the kindness, and the courtesy given to our son. A special THANK YOU to Dr. Vaughan, Dr. Travis, and Dr. Prewitt and the veterinary technicians for being so helpful and compassionate to our beloved son, Bosco, and to us in our time of need.
Sincerely, Janie and Luis Jimenez -
Chloe
-Pauline from Corpus Christi, TX
Pet Name: ChloeOn the morning of April 15, 2012 we rushed our 2 month old puppy Chloe to your Emergency Center. She had thrown up a few times and was not responding to us. Your entire staff was so caring when we were given the bad news. Chloe had Parvo. Only having added Chloe to our family 4 days prior we couldn't risk losing her. If it hadn't been for your hospital and loving staff our baby wouldn't be here today. Shes at home jumping and playing causing all sorts of chaos. And we will be forever grateful to each and everyone of you! Thank you!

Pet Name: Nicki and AbbiI have 3 wonderful miniature schnauzers. Earlier this year (2011) my youngest, Nicki, developed some digestive issues and within a matter of hours she was not doing well...the team at Oso Creek worked a miracle and in a matter of days had her back to her "stinker" self...terrorizing the other 2. Last night my oldest, Abbi, didn't stand to greet me when I came home from work, and I knew something was terribly wrong. So once again the Oso Creek team did their miracle work-emergency surgery- and I am happy to announce that today, Abbi, is on the way to mending.
The doctors and staff are phenomenal. Their love and care for not only the animals but the way they make you feel as a pet owner is superb. I will always sing their highest praise. Thank you so much for the service that you provide our area and for always being there and doing so with a kind, tender and loving heart... GOD bless you and your business. Susan Branscum -
Junior
-David Custer from Corpus Christi, TX
Pet Name: Junior CusterDear Dr Allred:
I'm writing this to let you know that thanks to your help, along with the great Veterinary staff at Oso Creek, our little injured cat Junior has completely regained the use of his hind legs and is now recovered, as good as new. We kept him confined, as directed, for about three weeks...he was gradually able to move around a little, and we started letting him come out of the crate on his own. At first he could barely move at all...but then after about the first week he started getting a little stronger. Finally he was able to be released inside the house for longer and longer periods of time, and then finally we let him start going outside.
I'm happy to say that he now shows no sign of ever having been injured! Thanks so much for your care...we really appreciate it. Please pass along to Dr. Higginbotham the good news...also several of the Technicians who worked with Junior that weekend seemed quite taken with him, so we hope you will be able to share this good news with them as well.
Thanks so much, we sincerely appreciate all that you do.

Many thanks to Ms. Stacy and Dr. Vaughan
-A pet parent from CC, TXIt is with great confidence that I highly recommend Dr. Scott Vaughan and his assistant Ms. Stacy.
I cannot express enough how Ms. Stacy and Dr. Vaughan evidenced kind consideration and patience with my pet’s situation and were exceedingly attentive to listening to my concerns about my pet’s health. My pet and I were not rushed in and out of a room or made to feel as if we inconvenienced anyone. Dr. Vaughan and Ms. Stacy spent time evaluating and assessing my pet rather than just spending the obligatory 2-5 minutes. Bedside manner is as essential a skill as field specialization; Ms. Stacy and Dr. Vaughan have this skill mastered. Their love for animals is clearly present.
Also of notable mention is Dr. Pamela Prewitt, whose compassion for and tenderness with animals and their humans is ever-present.
To aspiring or young professionals in this field: Consider reviewing a page from these individuals’ philosophy of care. They combine science, expertise and compassion to offer the best supportive care I have had the privilege of procuring for my loved one.
To those seeking professional and courteous medical care for their pets: I recommend Drs. Vaughan, Prewitt, and V.T. Ms. Stacy without reservation.
Thank you, all, for your dedication and professionalism. You didn't have to go the extra mile, but you did.
