Junior-David Custer from Corpus Christi, TX
Pet Name: Junior Custer
Dear Dr Allred:
I'm writing this to let you know that thanks to your help, along with the great Veterinary staff at Oso Creek, our little injured cat Junior has completely regained the use of his hind legs and is now recovered, as good as new. We kept him confined, as directed, for about three weeks...he was gradually able to move around a little, and we started letting him come out of the crate on his own. At first he could barely move at all...but then after about the first week he started getting a little stronger. Finally he was able to be released inside the house for longer and longer periods of time, and then finally we let him start going outside.
I'm happy to say that he now shows no sign of ever having been injured! Thanks so much for your care...we really appreciate it. Please pass along to Dr. Higginbotham the good news...also several of the Technicians who worked with Junior that weekend seemed quite taken with him, so we hope you will be able to share this good news with them as well.
Thanks so much, we sincerely appreciate all that you do.

Many thanks to Ms. Stacy and Dr. Vaughan-A pet parent from CC, TX
It is with great confidence that I highly recommend Dr. Scott Vaughan and his assistant Ms. Stacy.
I cannot express enough how Ms. Stacy and Dr. Vaughan evidenced kind consideration and patience with my pet’s situation and were exceedingly attentive to listening to my concerns about my pet’s health. My pet and I were not rushed in and out of a room or made to feel as if we inconvenienced anyone. Dr. Vaughan and Ms. Stacy spent time evaluating and assessing my pet rather than just spending the obligatory 2-5 minutes. Bedside manner is as essential a skill as field specialization; Ms. Stacy and Dr. Vaughan have this skill mastered. Their love for animals is clearly present.
Also of notable mention is Dr. Pamela Prewitt, whose compassion for and tenderness with animals and their humans is ever-present.
To aspiring or young professionals in this field: Consider reviewing a page from these individuals’ philosophy of care. They combine science, expertise and compassion to offer the best supportive care I have had the privilege of procuring for my loved one.
To those seeking professional and courteous medical care for their pets: I recommend Drs. Vaughan, Prewitt, and V.T. Ms. Stacy without reservation.
Thank you, all, for your dedication and professionalism. You didn't have to go the extra mile, but you did.
New Puppy-Kari and Luis De La Rosa from Corpus Christi, TX
Pet Name: Gismo
We got a new puppy in June 2009 and she was doing really good until she stopped eating and then one night she did not want to play like a normal puppy and she was making weird noises throughout the night and she was have uncontrollable accidents. In the middle of the night I woke up worried about her and I could not wake her up. I woke up my husband and he tried also but nothing worked, so we called the hospital and found out they were open so we rushed her there. They automatically took her in to the back, about an hour later they brought her back showing that she was doing better but had to stay the night and day there. The next day we talked to the doctor and found out she barely made it and now she is 10 months old and she is definitely a normal puppy eating a lot and playing with everything, barking and growling is so cute. Thank you to all the staff who helped Gismo that night. God bless to you all.
Hamsters and other small animals-Kris Cisneros from Corpus Christi, TX

My family and I took our hamster to recieve treatment. Most people would not even worry about a hamster like we did. The staff at the hospital really did care and shared our concerns. Their vets took speical intrest in Wobbles and did what they could to care for him. We will be grateful to them always and trust them with our other pets always.
Toby Tumor-Happy Toby Mom from Ingleside, TX
Pet Name: Toby
My 11 year old miniature poodle, Toby, gradually got sick over a period of about a year. In December 2007, he weighed about 22 pounds and started exhibiting various symptoms, mainly vomiting. We went to several vets in 2008, but his health continued to deteriorate until he was down to 15 pounds by December. In January 2009, Toby stopped eating or drinking anything and became very dehydrated. We arrived at Oso Creek on a Saturday night and within minutes Dr. Tristan diagnosed Toby as having a (large) tumor in his liver! Dr. Tristan removed the cancerous tumor and Toby has miraculously made a full recovery! He’s back to 22 pounds again! Oso Creek is a well managed facility and everyone has a positive attitude, is kind and considerate. All of the doctors and staff are very supportive of you and your pet through the entire treatment process from diagnosis to recovery. I too have switched to Oso Creek as Toby’s primary care provider.
Oso Creek Animal Hospital-Marilyn and Glenn Moore from Corpus Christi, TX
Our two dogs were attacked about 7:00 pm in September 2004 by a neighbor's German Shepard. Both were hurt but our small dog was seriously injured. We took them to Oso Creek Emergency Center as it was the closest clinic with a veterinarian available 24 hours a day. Dr. Tim Tristan was on duty and treated both dogs. Both made a complete recovery. As a result of the excellent care our dogs received, Dr. Tristan and Oso Creek Animal Hospital became, and remain to this date, our primary veterinarians. Several of the Doctors at Oso Creek have treated our dogs over the years and in all cases, the care was excellent. The technicians and desk staff at Oso Creek are highly competent and a pleasure to deal with. We recently lost one of our dogs and the compassion shown us by the Doctors and staff at Oso Creek will not be forgotten.
