New Puppy
-Kari and Luis De La Rosa from Corpus Christi, TX
Pet Name: Gismo
We got a new puppy in June 2009 and she was doing really good until she stopped eating and then one night she did not want to play like a normal puppy and she was making weird noises throughout the night and she was have uncontrollable accidents. In the middle of the night I woke up worried about her and I could not wake her up. I woke up my husband and he tried also but nothing worked, so we called the hospital and found out they were open so we rushed her there. They automatically took her in to the back, about an hour later they brought her back showing that she was doing better but had to stay the night and day there. The next day we talked to the doctor and found out she barely made it and now she is 10 months old and she is definitely a normal puppy eating a lot and playing with everything, barking and growling is so cute. Thank you to all the staff who helped Gismo that night. God bless to you all. -
Hamsters and other small animals
-Kris Cisneros from Corpus Christi, TX
Pet Name: Wobbles
My family and I took our hamster to recieve treatment. Most people would not even worry about a hamster like we did. The staff at the hospital really did care and shared our concerns. Their vets took speical intrest in Wobbles and did what they could to care for him. We will be grateful to them always and trust them with our other pets always. -
Toby Tumor
-Happy Toby Mom from Ingleside, TX
Pet Name: Toby
My 11 year old miniature poodle, Toby, gradually got sick over a period of about a year. In December 2007, he weighed about 22 pounds and started exhibiting various symptoms, mainly vomiting. We went to several vets in 2008, but his health continued to deteriorate until he was down to 15 pounds by December. In January 2009, Toby stopped eating or drinking anything and became very dehydrated. We arrived at Oso Creek on a Saturday night and within minutes Dr. Tristan diagnosed Toby as having a (large) tumor in his liver! Dr. Tristan removed the cancerous tumor and Toby has miraculously made a full recovery! He’s back to 22 pounds again! Oso Creek is a well managed facility and everyone has a positive attitude, is kind and considerate. All of the doctors and staff are very supportive of you and your pet through the entire treatment process from diagnosis to recovery. I too have switched to Oso Creek as Toby’s primary care provider. -
Oso Creek Animal Hospital
-Marilyn and Glenn Moore from Corpus Christi, TXOur two dogs were attacked about 7:00 pm in September 2004 by a neighbor's German Shepard. Both were hurt but our small dog was seriously injured. We took them to Oso Creek Emergency Center as it was the closest clinic with a veterinarian available 24 hours a day. Dr. Tim Tristan was on duty and treated both dogs. Both made a complete recovery. As a result of the excellent care our dogs received, Dr. Tristan and Oso Creek Animal Hospital became, and remain to this date, our primary veterinarians. Several of the Doctors at Oso Creek have treated our dogs over the years and in all cases, the care was excellent. The technicians and desk staff at Oso Creek are highly competent and a pleasure to deal with. We recently lost one of our dogs and the compassion shown us by the Doctors and staff at Oso Creek will not be forgotten.
