Dr. Cindy Koons grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and knew at the age of four that being a veterinarian was her calling. Loving and caring for pets of all kinds is her natural talent. She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for her undergraduate studies and graduated with a BS/Major in Veterinary Science in 2000 in the UNL Honors Program. While at UNL she graduated from the Honors Program which involved research at the internationally renowned Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo in the field of exotic animal reproductive technology and was published in 1998 with her co-authors. She then was accepted to Kansas state University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2004 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation she practiced in eastern Pennsylvania and later moved to Littleton, Colorado. Since 2005, Dr. Koons has been enjoying the people and outdoor activities only Colorado can offer. Dr. Koons and her husband Mike have two adorable and rambunctious kids, Ryan and McKenzie, who bring love and purpose to their lives every day and a King Charles Spaniel named Copper. She enjoys anything outdoors, traveling, horseback riding, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family. Dr. Koons enjoys practicing in the areas of dentistry, soft tissue surgery, emergency, internal and preventative medicine.
