Christina Petrandis, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, Colorado State University

Biography

Dr. Christina Petrandis grew up in Tallahassee, Florida and became interested in veterinary medicine at a young age. She furthered her interest by working as a technician at a small animal hospital and by accompanying equine veterinarians on ambulatory calls. For years, she enjoyed the thrill of Three Day Eventing, an equestrian sport that consists of dressage, cross-country and show jumping.

In 2001, Christina moved to Colorado and has been hooked ever since! In 2004, she earned a B.S. degree in Equine Science from Colorado State University. In May of 2010, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University.

Professionally, Christina’s interests include internal medicine, preventive medicine and medical acupuncture. She received her CVA (Certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist) from the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians program, which is sponsored by Colorado State University, the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, and the International Academy of Veterinary Medical Acupuncture. She is proud to be a graduate from this program, as it is the only comprehensively scientific acupuncture course available for veterinarians.

Dr. Petrandis is a member of the Denver Area Veterinary Medical Society, the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. She also loves being a volunteer veterinarian for the Denver Dumb Friends League. In her free time, she can be found atop a horse, playing in the mountains, spending time with her friends or exploring another continent.
