  • Registered Veterinary Technician

    Stephanie Meurell
Veterinary Tech School: Veterinary Allied Staff Education

Stephanie has been with VCA Orchard Plaza since 1990. She currently manages our team of RVTs and Veterinary assistants.  Stephanie says what she enjoys most is working with people in order to help animals receive the best care possible. She manages the treatment room with the motto "Life is too short - Be happy!"

Stephanie's family includes her husband, two children, and her maltese Tesla. In her spare time, she enjoys running, swimming at the beach, and riding her horses.

  • Registered Veterinary Technician

    Katie Pefferle

Katie has been with VCA Orchard Plaza for close to two years now (she left briefly to explore large animal medicine). Katie graduated from Carrington College in 2012 and shortly after took her state boards to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Most of her time is spent helping with routine and emergency procedures but you will also find her assisting in rooms as your "furry kid's" nurse. In her spare time, she enjoys everything outdoors, riding her horses, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Jeanivic A.

Jeanivic started working at VCA Orchard Plaza as an intern in the spring of 2014 and became part of the team as a Kennel Assistant a few months later. She is currently in her second year of the Veterinary Technology Program at Foothill College to pursue her career as a Registered Veterinary Technician. When she has some spare time outside of school and work, she reads, watches movies and spends time with family and friends.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Idalia C.

Idalia is a core veterinay assistant here at VCA Orchard Plaza. She has been with VCA for over 6 years, in that time she worked at VCA's in Texas as well. She is in her first semester of the Veterinary Technician program through Penn Foster. Her goal is to complete the program and then take her state boards to become a certified technician. Idalia is cross trained for client services as well, so you will occasionally see her smiling face at the front desk! She has a four year old Miniature Pinscher named Leihla whom she adopted about a year ago and is the little light in her life. In her free time, she enjoys pet sitting, watching movies, going to concerts and spending time with Leihla.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Brianne E.

Brie has been working in the veterinary field for over seven years now. She loves to chat with clients and patients alike and enjoys getting to know everyone that walks into our doors. Brie started her training at another VCA hospital years ago. She has since worked with private practice, emergency, and specialty clinics. She has a plethora of different animals in her home, including one dog, three cats, one snake, and two fish. She took a brief sabbatical to start a family and now has three wonderfully crazy children. She prides herself on client interactions and patient care, especially with those nervous little ones.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Cassandra G.

Cassandra is new to the VCA technician team but has proven to be a great fit. She graduated from Carrington College last year and is planning on taking her state boards soon to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. In her spare time, Cassandra loves spending time with her four year old daughter and her two little white dogs.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Kara K.

Kara has been a part of our VCA family for over a year, leaving briefly to work in a private practice. She is an asset to the team and we are very happy to have her back! Recently, Kara graduated from Carrington College's Veterinary Technician program and is planning on taking her state boards in December. In her free time, she raises market hogs for fair and enjoys all things camo!
