VCA Old Town Animal Hospital

Veterinary Support

  • Technician Supervisor

    Frank R

Frank has two cats, Snowflake and Cookie Dough and 1 Yorkie named Dior, all gentle and kind just as he is!.

He joined VCA Old Town 7 years ago and has just been made our Technician Supervisor.  You can imagine that he has some fantastic skills and a great work ethic, and is now teaching others at our hospital.  We ALL depend on Frank, the one who comes to work, knows everything, and goes like a whirlwind all day long.  You will enjoy how much he enjoys getting to know you and your pets.

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Kate C
Veterinary Tech School: Northerm Va Community College
    School: George Mason University, BS

Kate is a Licensed Veterinary Technician with 16 years of professional experience in the veterinary field including working with specialists in dermatology, allergy, hyperthyroid cats, oncology, critical care nursing - but most of all she brings her many skills to us!  Kate has 1 dog, "Ruby" who is her hiking partner, dinner partner and the love of her canine life.  "Harold" is the feline one, a beautiful grey boy of 15 years.

PS If you need help with nutrician, Kate is the one to talk to!

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Alfred A

Alfred is determined to make every pet comfortable during the overnight stay with us. Amazingly, he learns the habits and wishes of all our pet friends! You will most often see him bringing your pet to the back to stay, or to the front to go home.

Al is gentle and loving with everyone, and a super addition to our team.  We use him as the "all-around-helper"; anytime we need help - there he is waiting to do whatever is needed.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Peyton G

Peyton = Cats!    Peyton is our very own Cat Woman, leading the charge to keep our focus on cats who may not come to the veterinarian as often as they should.  She has some great ideas on how to coax your "hidden cat" into the carrier for the annual visit.  Her easy-going ways make her a natural with these sometimes "elusive" pets.

And she has the BEST shoes of us all - ask her if she is wearing her pet picture shoes!

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Stephanie P

Stephanie has been with VCA Old Town almost a year.  She came to us with years of Veterinary experience, so you can trust her knowledge from day one!  She is enthusiastic and skilled at her job, willing to listen to anything you have a question about.  Stephanie will take the time you need to solve your problems!

She has been accepted to school and is studying to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician, while continuing to work full time for us.  Congratulate her on her success, and her willingness to give it her all!

Specialty Care

When your pet is facing any kind of serious illness or injury, our specialty referral hospitals will provide the compassionate and expert care your beloved pet needs.

Our goal is to make sure that when you and your pet are in need that you have access to board certified specialists who are up to date on the very latest developments in their field. In our state of the art hospitals, our specialists also have access to the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment tools and techniques from ultrasonography and endoscopy to CAT scans and even MRI.

As part of the VCA family, we have over 83 specialty hospitals across the US and Canada which provide referral specialty care, so there may be one near you.
