Dr. Amy Will-Schlechtweg-Stacy from Swarthmore, PA
Pet Name: Toto and Roxie
I have been coming to this veterinary office for 7 years and I always have a good experience. Dr. Amy Will-Schlechtweg is a wonderful and caring person and veterinarian. She makes you feel like your pets are very much an important part of her life as they are yours. I would highly recommend her as a veterinarian.
Great Care-Diane from Drexel Hill, PA
I have 2 miniature poodles who we've been taking to Old Marple since they were puppies, they are now 6 years old and 10 years old. Both love to visit with Dr. Johnson who I trust with their well being. I have nothing but good things to say about Old Marple and Dr. Johnson.
Dr Amy Will-Pat Burke from Aston, PA
Pet Name: Belle
I have 2 cat's that are a big part of our lives here at home, Belle started acting funny and I called Dr Will right away, she got us in the next morning to see what was going on, but before she did this she listened to me, answered all questions i had, and put me at ease that we were seeing a little bit of what had happened a year ago ... Allergies. We went for our appt. and Dr Will was so good with Belle, she examined her top to bottom, listened to her heart and her tummy checked her out. What can i say I Love Old Marple and Dr Will, I have never once called where i was put off and was not seen, she is a Mom in a sense human as well as Furchildren.. Would and do recommended them to everybody... Come on they are there more then our doctor's 365, 24/7 .... Love Belles Mom and Dad from the bottom of our Hearts, and to boot there is someone there to ask if your visit went well before you leave... Thank you Dr Amy Will, Donna, and the entire staff at VCA Old Marple, Pat and Paul.
Dr. Shelly-Mike Quinn from Folsom, PA
Pet Name: Cheech F. Quinn
We can’t thank you enough for all the love, care and treatment you provided Cheech over the years, especially since his diagnosis of IBD. We really appreciate the time and effort you went into researching Cheech’s condition, consulting other doctors and determining the proper treatment plan. We valued your patience as we asked many questions over the past 9 months concerning his condition.
We always considered Cheech to be our first child and that is why this process has been so terribly upsetting for both of us. Cheech was a little dog with a big personality. He loved going on runs and playing in the backyard. He truly loved people and wanted to be in on all the action going on.
Thank you again for everything! We’ll never forget your kind nature towards us and Cheech.
Great visit-Fran from Milmont Park, PA
Pet Name: Dilenger
My son's puppy wasn't feeling good, recommended by my niece this place was great, Doctor Kim K. was great, she told my son what he did for the dog was exactly what he should have done, agreed with him on different things. The dog dilenger had a runny nose, not feeling good, didn't eat, didn't follow my son around like usual, temperature.
The Doctor was not pushy explain everything, said it was good that the puppy was brought in right away. Right now the puppy has antibiotics to take and if he doesn't improve, then they will do blood work and xrays. Right now the puppy was a little more active. The doctor did a exam, took her time did not push us to get the other test, gave us a estimate of what the other test would cost, left us alone to talk about it. But since he just started acting sick, then antibiotics for the night and see if he eats if he starts being like his old self then that's great but if no improvement bring him right in. this was a doctor who loved her job you could tell and she took as much time as you needed to explain things and answer any questions. Dr Kim K. was great. I am not the owner of Dilenger just his Grandmom, so I have been told. LOL
Dr. Johnson is awesome-Gretchen's Mom from Aldan, PA
Sadly, on February 16th, I had to say goodbye to my faithful companion, baby girl and my best friend. My beautiful German Shepherd was almost 11 and 1/2 years old. I wanted no one else besides Dr. Johnson to be with us as we said goodbye to Gretchen. He is absolutely the kindest and compassionate veterinarian ever. Letting Gretchen go was the hardest thing I ever had to do, but Dr. Johnson was there for all of us.
Rocky-Lisa from Brookhaven, PA
Pet Name: Rocky
On Sunday 1/29/12 our 10yro Great Dane became very sick and we knew it was serious. From the time I called to the time Rocky took his last breath at Old Marple Vet we were comforted by the dr's and everyone in the office. Thank you for taking such good care of him and understanding what he meant to us. I've never been to Old Marple before but this will be our Vet from now on!
A Bunnie's Life-Claire Martorana from Broomall, PA
Pet Name: Jack
Jack is a 4 year old Dutch Rabbit and the baby of our family. He is completely litter trained and has access to most areas of the house, which have been bunny-proofed with covered or hidden wires. We started our relationship with Old Marple in 1992 when we had our bunny Boots, who lived to the ripe old age of 9. To know there are doctors trained in the care of exotic pets at Old Marple has eased our minds greatly. Dr. Lindsay and Dr. Lawrie are the best!
Recently Jack experienced partial paralysis on his face and had stopped eating his food. Anxiously we took him to see Dr. Lawrie who took the time to examine him fully. He was comforting to both Jack and the family, explained everything to us in detail, and I am happy to say Jack is back to his normal self. Jack has regular check-ups annually, gets his nails clipped every couple of months and was neutered at Old Marple a few years ago because he kept spraying the house. Every visit is pleasant and we walk out of the vet office well informed and confident that he is getting the best care in the area.
there is an emergency-Gene Taggart from Aldan, PA
My dog, Duffy, is an 11-year-old blue merle rough collie. The "rough" is a description of his coat. His disposition is incredibly smooth.
One recent Saturday, he got up, went into the yard for awhile, came back inside and laid down on his bed. Thirty minutes later, he had a difficult time getting up. Before the afternoon was done, he needed assistance to stand. I carried him out to the car -- walking was out of the question -- and met Dr. Dennis Trafny, who was on emergency duty at VCA Old Marple Vet.
Dr. Trafny took Duffy into an examining room, took blood samples, and asked me to wait while tests were done. Ultimately, he concluded the dog had a serious bacterial infection. Duffy spent the night at Old Marple and, on Dr. Trafny's recommendation, I took him to the veterinary hospital at the University of Pennsylvania the next morning.
Now, it is two weeks later. Duffy is doing well. Thanks to the vets at Old Marple and at the University of Pennsylvania.
Duffy's regular vet at Marple -- Catherine Tannert -- is compassionate, competent, confident, and always willing to take the time to explain things. Dr. Trafny -- on emergency duty Saturday night and Sunday morning -- is the same way.
