Robert Gaunt, VMD, Associate Veterinarian

VMD, University of Pennsylvania

Dr. Gaunt was raised in Glenside Pa and graduated from Upper Dublin High School in 2005 and proceeded on to the University of Pittsburgh where he received his BS degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry and Classics.  After Pittsburgh he proceeded on to the University of Pennsylvania pursuing his veterinarian degree and graduated in 2013.  In his spare time he enjoys Philadelphia sports, running, hiking, traveling, soccer and drawing.  He resides at home with his four year old shepherd "Skye" who was rescued from North Philadelphia, any boy did he find a great home with Dr. Gaunt.  His special interests are Emergency Medicine

Why I do What I do:  I have always enjoyed the interactions and challenges with working with animals and ensuring that the bond between a pet and its owner is preserved through the best possible medical care.  Through my training and experiences I have come to have a passion for the excitement and challenges that are encountered with emergency veterinary medicine.

Special Note:  Dr. Gaunt has been with us just a few days but already he has shown our clients compassion and dedication to making that pet feel better and making the pet parents feel at ease when they're dealing with an emergency situation.  We are very proud that he has decided to join our already growing family here at VCA Old Marple Animal Hospital, what a great addition to our team.
