Biography

Dr. Serrano graduated from Kansas State University in 1995. She worked at an exotic and small animal general and referrel practice in Miami, Florida for a couple of years before deciding to move to California. There she worked in a general practice in Fremont on the east bay of San Francisco for several years before her husband started working for the film industry and they both moved to Los Angeles. She worked at VCA Wilshire Animal Hospital in Santa Monica for five years before deciding that the traffic was too much and felt the call to the Pacific Northwest. She has been at VCA Ocean Beach Animal Hospital since 2006. In addition to her duties as Medical Director, Dr. Serrano practices general medicine and surgery. She has a special interest in exotic animals, especially reptiles and amphibians. She currently lives with a ball python, leopard gecko and is in the process of adopting a tortoiseshell cat.
