Dr. Goodnight is a Navy brat and native Floridian. After completing veterinary school at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech, she enjoyed a fulfilling career in the U. S. Army Veterinary Corps. Her passion in veterinary medicine is emergency and critical care, which led her to complete a Residency at Ohio State University and become board certified in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2012. Military and police working dogs, polytrauma, bloat, heat injuries, and envenomation are Dr. Goodnight’s preferred emergenices. She also has an interest in soft tissue surgery and managing challenging medical cases, such as diabetic ketoacidosis and sepsis.
When not at work, Dr. Goodnight loves spending time with her husband, two children, and numerous pets. As a family, they enjoy swimming, boating, hunting for fossils on the Peace River, and visiting with family. Dr. Goodnight also enjoys volunteering with her children’s Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops.

VCA Noah’s Place Animal Medical Center provides 24 hour emergency veterinary care, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Emergency veterinarians, veterinary technicians and/or veterinary assistants are on staff 24 hours a day.

We provide the highest standard in veterinary emergency and critical care services. We are trained and equipped to perform a variety of emergency surgeries and procedures while provide quality, compassionate care.
