    "I have always wanted to work with animals and my love for them has brought me to VCA Newark. I thoroughly enjoy being there for every single client that walks through our doors. I look at myself and my team as a support system for the clients and know that we are here to love and care for their pets as if they were our own. I love our clients and look at them as my family."

    Why I Do What I Do...

    "I have an amazing two year old son, Jacob, who is the center of my world. I have worked with animals a little over a year now, and have to admit I enjoy every minute of it. I came to VCA Newark with hopes to expand my client service skills. From the short time I've been a part of the VCA family I have grown to absolutely adore my coworkers, clients, and most importantly the patients. Since being here I have experienced a lot and cannot wait to see what the future holds for me."

    Why I Do What I Do...

    "Of course I do what I do because I love animals, but it's more than that. I love knowing that I'm helping the "parents" (owners) too. This is my "family" an I feel good when I'm doing what I do here. I'm working as a receptionist now, but I've been a technician in the general practice as well as working in the emergency room on the overnight shift. I feel like I know the nuts and bolts of this practice and can work wherever I am needed. That's a good feeling and it makes me smile just thinking about it.

    People ask me, "How do you do what you do here and see all the bad things?" I tell them there is more good than bad, and I am glad that we are there for the bad things that do happen. Pets need 24/7 care as much as people do...

    It took me 48 years to know what I wanted to do when I grew up... and it was to work with animals. I do what I do because I love coming to work. How many people can say that?!?!"

    Why I Do What I Do...

    "I have never had a job I loved so much... The variety of dogs and cats that come in make every day a special one. The clients are just wonderful, and they know we are here for them at all times. Some will just stop by to say "Hi" or have a cup of coffee. I get the most satisfaction watching the whole team here work together, especially through the emergency service. I am proud to be a part of the VCA Newark team... they are like family to me."
