Dr. Mary Brown joined VCA New Kent Animal Hospital as Medical Director in October 2017. Dr. Brown has worked with VCA for over 10 years, previously serving as Medical Director at VCA Animal Care Associates in Colonial Heights, VA. Dr. Brown completed her undergraduate degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University. After teaching high school for 2 years in Hanover County, Dr. Brown decided to return to school to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She graduated from St. Georges University in Grenada with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical training at the University of Georgia in 2007. Dr. Brown has a special interest in disease prevention and internal medicine. In her spare time she enjoys scuba diving, her church community, and striving to pursue a healthy lifestyle.
