    April had 3 years previous experience at another animal hospital before joining our team in late 2010. Her favorite aspect of the job is being able to spend time with different animals and being able to help them feel better. At home she has 5 dogs, 2 horses, a mule and a monkey!

    Nikki Smith

    Nikki worked at VCA Franklin Park until she moved to our area and joined our team in 2009. She has been a technician for a number of years and loves all of the different aspects that the job entails. She keeps busy by also grooming here part-time. She enjoys working with her German Shepard mix, Katie and taking care of her cats and pocket pets.

    Nina DeVries

    Nina joined Naper Ridge in February, 2014. She got her start working with animals in 2005, training polo ponies. Nina started her career as a technician assistant in 2012. She is passionate about her job and can't imagine doing anything else. Nina has a special interest in behavior and training. In her free time, Nina trains and competes with her dog, Opie in obedience.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Marta Leszczynski

    Marta joined our staff in February 2012 working in the kennels, and she is now also a part-time veterinary assistant. She has lived in the area her whole life, and is currently studying pre-vet at Benedictine University. She can also speak fluent Polish, and play the violin & piano. At home she has four dogs, and she enjoys going to car shows in her free time. She previously worked at a wolf ranch!
