    Rhi Basham
    Veterinary Tech School: Kaplan

    Rhi graduated from Kaplan College in 2012 and joined VCA Mountain View in 2014.  Rhi has a  broad knowledge and experience in veterinary medicine and brings us sincere confidence in her skills, such as her express interest in the veterinary laboratory processes.  She is very personable with our clients and staff which always keeps us laughing and is able to help everyone through tough parts of the day.   

    Rhi shares her home with a slew of cats and a chicken named Gertie.  Ask her about her cats and she'll tell you how they got their names.  When Rhi is out of the hospital, she enjoys riding her motorcycle, hiking and camping. We very much enjoy having Rhi on our team!

    Alley Cook
    Veterinary Tech School: Anthem

    Alley is originally from Farmington, New Mexico and has been in the animal field since 2010 and with VCA for three years. Alley's furry family consists of two dogs, Mo and Prince. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family or sitting back and watching a movie. Alley graduated from Anthem College with her associates degree in Veterinary Technology and is currently certified through the State of Arizona and is studying to take the national test to become our first certified technician!

    Amanda Faden
    Veterinary Tech School: Carrington College

    Amanda has been with VCA Mountain View Animal Hospital since July of 2015.  She graduated with her Veterinary Assistant Certificate from Carrington College in 2015.  Amanda is a member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation.  She has 3 dogs, and 1 cat whom she shares a home with her husband and 5 children.  Amanda's favorite part of her job is the every day interaction with the pets and the enjoyment of helping others who care for their pets and love them the way she does.  Outside of work, Amanda enjoys the outdoors while fishing, hiking and spending time on her photography.

    Heather Rexall
    Veterinary Tech School: Kaplan

    Heather is one of our native of Phoenix employees and has been with us since 2012. In her spare time Heather enjoys drawing, reading, or just kicking back and watching a movie. Her furry family consists of an indefinite number of cats and one dog named, Pugsley . Heather graduated from Kaplan College with her Associates degree in Science of Veterinary Technology and is studying to take her state and national exams for her certifications. Eventually Heather plans to take the big step and go back to school to become a veterinarian but until then we have her here and when you see a smiling girl on the go, you will know Heather is here.

    Flor Sotelo-Castaneda
    Veterinary Tech School: Anthem

    Flor came to us through her externship with Anthem College in 2014.  She is a native of Arizona, born and raised!  At a young age she realized she wanted to learn how to better care for her own pets, which she was able to turn into her dream career!  Flor and her significant other, Danny, have 2 young children, one dog (June) and one cat (Pepper) at home.  She spends her days off with her family and enjoys just being 'Mom.'  Flor has a serious goal for 2017 by taking her Veterinary Board Exam an earn her Veterinary Technician Certification!

    Melissa Rodriguez
    Veterinary Tech School: Carrington College

    Melissa is our newest member to the veterinary technical/assistant team, and joined us late in 2015 after graduating from Carrington College.  She has goals and aspirations to one day specialize in Veterinary Medicine with a focus on exotics.  Melissa hopes to travel to Africa and Australia to study the animals in their natural habitat.  Melissa is a Native to Arizona and shares her home with 3 dogs, 2 Miniature Poodles and one Chihuahua.  She loves getting to work with the animals and being a part of our team expressing she works with such an "amazing and caring staff."

    Outside of work Melissa keeps busy volunteering for her church and assisting the community.  She also enjoys attending galleries and art exhibits.  We all thoroughly enjoy working with Melissa as she is an important part of our VCA Mountain View Animal Hospital.
