    Michaela joined VCA Mission San Jose in 2012, and she really enjoys working with all of the animals. She lives in Fremont with her two dogs, a cat, and a rabbit. Michaela loves the outdoors and spending time with her two dogs.

    Derek has been with VCA Mission San Jose since September 2014 as an Animal Care Assistant. He is from Fremont and received a certificate for Veterinary Assistant from MVROP. Derek loves working with all of the animals and has 2 cats, 4 fire belly toads and 1 beta fish. In his spare time he likes playing guitar, video games and swimming.

    Damien L.

    Damien has been with VCA Mission San Jose Animal Hospital since September 2012. He is currently majoring in Business and minoring in Music at Ohlone College. Damien has always been a dog lover but has found a new appreciation for cats since working at the hospital. In his spare time, he really enjoys playing guitar, piano, or any instrument he comes across!

    Eduardo M.

    Eduardo joined the VCA family in 2014 as an Animal Care Assistant. He graduated from Carrington College and is in the process of obtaining his RVT license. Eduardo really enjoys working with animals and gaining experience in the Veterinary field. He is from San Leandro and has a dog named Nube. Outside of work, Eduardo enjoys writing, collecting and playing video games.

    Samantha M.

    Samantha joined our team as an Animal Care Assistant in June 2014. She graduated from UC Irvine with a BA in English and Biology minor. She is originally from San Diego and has 2 cats, Aerial and Cricket. Samantha enjoys working with animals, especially when she is able to earn the trust of a shy or scared animal. She has a special interest in cat behavior and tries to learn as much as possible about handling and enrichment techniques. In her spare time, she likes video games, writing and literature of all sorts, and enjoys listening to music.

    Levi joined VCA Mission San Jose Animal Hospital in October 2012 and plans on being a part of the animal care team for years to come! He grew up with cats, dogs and many reptiles. Levi really loves dogs and enjoys many forms of art.

    Efrain is new to the Veterinary world and joined our team as an Animal Care Assistant in September 2014. He is currently attending college and majoring in Accounting and Business Admin. He is from Fremont and has one Chihuahua/Terrier mix named Chespita. Efrain enjoys working with all kinds of animals. Outside of work, he is interested in archery and working on his car.

    Kathy L

    Kathy joined VCA Mission San Jose in May 2008. Prior to VCA Kathy worked at a large grooming salon in Belmont for 6 years.
    Right out of high school Kathy worked as a bather/finisher for 3 years while going to college. Kathy graduated from the Madelene Professional Pet Grooming School where she learned all breed grooming. Every year Kathy does further certification at the conventions that are available to her. Kathy has 3 dogs and 1 cat.
