Biography
Dr. Lanier is a 6th generation Native Floridian and Native American. She was born and raised right here in Fort Myers, Florida and pursued her veterinary education at the wonderful University Of Florida. She is a member of the 2002 graduating class.
Dr. Lanier's interests include equine medicine as well as internal medicine of companion animals.
Dr. Lanier is married with one son named Chase and a stepdaughter named Cassie. Dr. Amie and her husband, Allen, have owned numerous animals including horses, cattle, ducks, chickens, and working cow dogs.
I became a veterinarian to gain all the knowledge I could to care for horses. I have always been raised around horses and fell in love with them at an early age. My concentration in veterinary college focused on equine medicine and I spent 10 years practicing equine medicine. I now own horses for pleasure and will raise my son to have awareness and love for the equid. My veterinary practice now centers on companion animal medicine and I am finding a new passion for the smaller creatures in life.
