  • Veterinary Assistant Supervisor

    Iris Hernandez

    Iris joined our VCA Metro Cat team in March of 2013. Prior to her time with us, Iris volunteered and interned at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital. Iris lives locally with her 4 dogs ("Cee Cee", "Max", "Chilly", "Sasha")  feline friend "Ginger-Bell", and her adorable son, Noah. Iris' love for animals developed after caring for her grandmother's pets, and she hasn't looked back since. Iris was recently promoted to our Technician Assistant Supervisor and is working towards her career goal of a specialized position in emergency and surgical medicine.

    Arthur Louis
    School: City College of New York, Bachelors of Science in Biology

    Arthur joined the VCA Metro Cat team in the fall of 2015. Although born in Haiti, he graduated from the City College of New York with a Bachelors in Biology. He became Boston bound shortly after graduation in 2015. Arthur doesn't have any animals quite yet, but in his spare time he enjoys participating in wildlife conservation projects, playing guitar, and playing soccer! Arthur really enjoys the fast paced and engaging atmosphere that comes with working as a Veterinary Assistant and hopes that someday he can become a Veterinarian.

    Irina Showalter
    School: University of Massachusetts Amherst, Bachelors of Science in Biology

    Irina joined our team in late 2013 as a Veterinary Assistant, and has quickly learned the ins and out of VCA Metro Cat. Irina is originally from Turkmenistan, Ashgabat but now lives locally with her husband Jonathan, her two cats Eva and Nusha, and her lively dog Leo. In her free time Irina enjoys hiking with Nusha and playing tennis.

    Lisa Tripodi
    School: Lesley College, 2013

    Lisa has been with our VCA Metro Cat family since 2002, first as a Client Service Representative and now as a technician assistant. Always quick with a joke, Lisa knows how to put a smile on anyone's face (including your cat's).  Lisa is currently attending Lesley College for a degree in Holistic Psychology. Lisa lives locally with her two cats, Nico and Mazie, and her dog, Tegan.
