Heartworm, fleas, and intestinal parasites can affect cats year round. Heartworm is transmitted by mosquitoes, which thrive in our region making it a serious cause for concern. Fleas also thrive in our area, and can even be a problem for our feline friends that stay indoors. Intestinal parasites are in the environment year round, and our furry friends have even been known to get intestinal parasites from inside our household, in things such as potting soil. All of these concerns can be easily addressed by providing your cat with year round heartworm, flea, and intestinal parasite prevention.
