Dear Cat Parent,
Thank you for choosing Metro Cat Hospital! We look forward to meeting you and your cat. Together, we will make sure they stay healthy and happy throughout their life.
Metro Cat Hospital is a feline-only hospital, with a knowledgeable staff that fully specializes in your cat's wants and needs. Often times cats are less stressed at the veterinarian's office without the sights, sounds, and smells of other types of animals such as dogs.
As a VCA hospital, we are a member of the largest provider of veterinary health care in the country. This gives our veterinarians access to over 200 board-certified specialists should your pet need specialized care. It gives you access to over 500 nationwide locations that offer the same level of care should your pet need attention while you're traveling, or if you happen to move within the United States and Canada.
Before your first visit, please gather any previous medical or adoption records you may have for your pet. Your Metro Cat veterinarian needs this information to get an accurate record of your cat's medical history and to create the best treatment plan for your cat.
When you visit the hospital, please bring your cat in a carrier or on a leash. This will prevent any incidents with other kitties that may also be in the lobby, and will prevent them from getting out the front door by accident.
When it is time for your appointment, one of our Veterinary Technicians will escort you and your cat to an exam room where they will ask you some questions regarding your visit. Weight, temperature, and a quick check of your cat may happen at this time as well.
When our veterinarian examines your cat, they will take the time to listen and ask questions so that they can understand your concerns. They will also perform a physical examination of your cat - checking the eyes, ears, and mouth and listening to the heart - and will ask you questions about you cat's habits and activities.
We are excited about meeting you and your cat. We will always strive to provide the level of care that you both want and deserve.
Should you have any questions about your upcoming visit or procedure, please do not hesitate to call us!
