Dijana Katan, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Dijana is a native of Bosnia and has lived all over the world. Most recently, she relocated from the great state of Michigan, where she received undergraduate degrees in both microbiology and molecular genetics from Michigan State University in 2006, before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at MSU in 2009 and joining the VCA Met Vet professional staff. Her special veterinary interests include dermatology, geriatrics, and surgery. She always has a smile on her face for our clients and staff, and is a great addition to our team!
Dijana is currently pursuing her master’s degree in public health and expects to complete the program in 2010. She also is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
When she is not working or studying, Dijana enjoys salsa dancing, mountain climbing and hiking with her two rescue dogs—Fritz, an American Eskimo, and Dumah, a greyhound. Her house is also home to two furry cats, Bandit and Morris. She also loves to travel and looks forward to international visits with her relatives.
