Cynthia Brown, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Brown was born and raised in Tucson, where she decided to be a veterinarian at the age of three.  She got her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and then fulfilled her dream when she earned her veterinary degree from Colorado State University.  She did a 1-year internship at Mesa Veterinary Hospital and began working at VCA McCormick Ranch Animal Hospital  in 2003.  Her areas of interest include surgery, chronic pain, feline medicine, and dermatology.    In April of 2015, she was certified in veterinary medical acupuncture.  Dr. Brown's current pets include 2 dogs: Jack, a slightly neurotic German Shepherd/Lab mix and Sam, a tennis ball focused Boxer that didn't get along with her previous housemate; 2 cats: Stinky, a calico cat who was living in a parking lot before being rescued by Dr. Brown and brought home, and Crash, who arrived at our hospital after being run over by a car and spent several as our hospital cat.  She also has 2 Arabian horses named Newman & Levi.  Dr. Brown is a saltwater fish enthusiast including Squishy the stingray.  She enjoys taking her horses to shows, on trail rides and they even pull a cart.  She loves gardening, growing orchids and last but not least, playing the Harp.
