Veterinary Tech School: Vet Tech Institute
Cassie was raised in Manvel and graduated from Manvel High School in 2011. Throughout her high school career, she was an active FFA member- showing goats and a Red Brangus heifer, and was FFA president her senior year- which led her to career in veterinary medicine. Cassie started at the Vet Tech Institute of Houston in October 2011, and graduated in October 2013 with her Associates in Veterinary Technology. She is currently working on becoming a registered veterinary technician. Cassie has a basenji named Logan, a cat named Chloe, and a goat named George. In her spare time she enjoys off-roading in her Jeep, fishing, and watching movies. Later on in life she would like to have a farm and raise goats.
School: Animal Behavior College, Certified Dog Trainer
My name is Monique and SURPRISE, I love animals! I was born and raised in Southern California where I began my career as a veterinary technician in a VCA specialty hosptial. There I learned many things, such as, critical care and intensive care, emergency medicine, and physical rehabilitation in dogs. I transferred to VCA Mainland Animal Hospital in September of 2012. I currently have 1 dog, a Australian Shepherd, named Ozzy and a little one-eyed cat named Captain Jack (or C.J. as I call him) though I find myself with various other pets from time to time as I am a big supporter of the rescue world. I am currently in college working on my AA in Communications to be followed by my BA in Psychology. After that, it's off to Veterinary school with me! I am a graduate of Animal Behavior College through which I have been certified as a dog trainer and I plan on specializing in behavior modification as a veterinarian. Aside from my love of animals, I love ballroom dancing! I taught for 4 years with Arthur Murray Dance studios and have found my favorite dances to be Argentine Tango, Salsa, and Cha Cha. I am also a huge World of Warcraft nut! If I am not working or dancing you can find me running around the world of Azeroth (and now Panderia) where my role there is...a healer!
School: University of Houston, BBA Management & Accounting
My name is Valerie, and I was lucky enough to join the VCA team in August 2014. I have always had a passion for animals, and love that I get to come to work every day doing something I enjoy. I graduated with a BBA in Management and Accounting minor this past spring from the University of Houston. In the future, I hope to use my degree towards owning my own boarding/training facility. My previous positions as a dog trainer and a kennel technician have helped me learn about animal behavior, and I have plants to continue with animal behavior courses. I have 3 furbabies at home: Reggie- my 5 year old Australian Shepherd, Dolly- an 8 year old Puggle, and the latest addition is Stevie Wander- my 1 year old blind Chihuahua mix. When I'm not at the park with my pups, I'm usually playing golf, going to the movies, or playing video games with my boyfriend.
My name is Heather Levick. I was born and raised in the Clear Lake area. I graduated from Clear Creek High School in 2003. After high school I started at San Jacinto Community College for my basics and will continue my education at a later date for my degree in Nursing. I have been a Veterinary Technician since 2006, and enjoy educating clients and helping animals as much as possible. I have been a VCA team member since July 2014, and feel it is the best team I have ever worked with. I have been married for 10 years and have a son that rules my world. At home I have three cats; twin boys that are 8 years old, Reno and Vegas; Willis that is 4 years old, and a lab-weimaraner mix that is 2 years old. I enjoy playing with my son, watching movies, reading, and sitting by the fire with friends.
Sunshine has been part of our health care team since 2006 where she worked as a kennel technician. Sunshine has also trained as a receptionist, and currently training as a veterinary technician. She is the proud mother of 3 children. Growing up in the community, Sunshine made her love of animals known to everyone and enjoys interacting with our clients and their pets. She also enjoys spending time with her family and her 4 dogs, going to the beach, and anything hot pink!
