An essential part of your education is gaining veterinary work experience. VCA veterinary externships provide you with first hand experience at both general and specialty practices nationwide.

- Community based animal and specialty
hospitals nationwide - Start your externship in any year of your of veterinary school training
- You may choose a 1-6 week externship or longer in our general practice hospitals
- Veterinary externships are available at the following VCA Animal Hospitals with limitations during the summer months (see application)
- Do an externship and improve your opportunity
to practice or intern in the same hospital - Experience multiple veterinary externships to see which practice type fits you best
