Veterinary Support

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Brittany A.
    School: PIMA Medical Institute

Brittany was born and raised on the Olympic Peninsula; she decided to make the move to Seattle to pursue her dream in working in the veterinary field. She graduated from Pima Medical Institutes veterinary assisting program in May 2013, and that following September she joined our team.

Brittany can not let a brachycephalic dog (the smush-faced ones) leave with out giving them a little extra love, especially the pugs. She has a great interest in surgical assisting and plans on continuing her education to become a licensed veterinary technician.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Kayleigh S.
    School: PIMA Medical Institute

Kayleigh grew up in northeast Tacoma and has lived in Washington State her whole life.  After attending high school she went to Pima Medical Institute for Veterinary Assisting which she graduated from in March 2014.  Kayleigh joined the Magnolia team in 2014.  In her free time she likes to play with her animals and take them for long walks to the beach.  She is very outgoing and is always looking for new adventures around Washington.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Katherine W.

Katherine is an undergraduate senior at Seattle Pacific University pursuing her life long dream of becoming a veterinarian. When she found VCA Magnolia 1 1/2 years ago she knew it was the perfect fit for her. She always looks forward to coming into work to the sound of wagging tails waiting to be fed and played with. From her home in Portland, Oregon, to her new home in Seattle, she has continued her passion for animals and the great outdoors. She is a true northwestern girl, enjoying hiking, running, and studying in local cafes. When she’s not walking the cute pups at work, she’s exploring Seattle with friends, singing in SPU’s gospel choir, or attending Bethany Community church.

Specialty Care

Sometimes sick or injured pets need the care of a veterinary medical specialist. When that happens, VCA specialty hospitals work closely with the general practitioner veterinarians who refer cases to us in order to provide seamless veterinary care to your pet. When your pet is facing any kind of serious illness or injury, our specialty referral hospitals will provide the compassionate and expert care your beloved pet needs.

Our goal is to make sure that when you and your pet are in need that you have access to board certified specialists who are up to date on the very latest developments in their field. In our state of the art hospitals, our specialists also have access to the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment tools and techniques from ultrasonography and endoscopy to CAT scans and even MRI.

As part of the VCA family, we have over 83 specialty hospitals across the US and Canada which provide referral specialty care, so there may be one near you. Our specialized services include: behavior, cardiology, critical care, dentistry, dermatology, integrative medicine, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, rehabilitation, reproduction, and surgery.
