Veterinary Support

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Brittany A.
    School: PIMA Medical Institute

Brittany was born and raised on the Olympic Peninsula; she decided to make the move to Seattle to pursue her dream in working in the veterinary field. She graduated from Pima Medical Institutes veterinary assisting program in May 2013, and that following September she joined our team.

Brittany can not let a brachycephalic dog (the smush-faced ones) leave with out giving them a little extra love, especially the pugs. She has a great interest in surgical assisting and plans on continuing her education to become a licensed veterinary technician.

    Kelsey D.

Kelsey was born and raised in King County, and graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Western Washington University in 2011.  During her stay in Bellingham, she worked as an intern for the Northwest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and learned to love taking care of animals that needed help. After graduation, she married her husband and moved to Seattle, where she started work for Petsmart.  She knew she wanted to pursue her interest in the animal medical field, and started work as an Animal Care Assistant with the Magnolia team in July 2014.  She owns a talkative kitty named Melody and a variety of pocket pets.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Britt L.

Britt is a new arrival to Seattle, coming from San Diego, California. She began working as a technician a little over ten years ago, at a bird and exotic hospital. Since that time, she's changed focus and gone from specializing in avian and exotic medicine, to canine and feline dentistry, as well as having dabbled in emergency medicine. She is now happier than ever, both with starting her new life here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and with finding a home here at VCA Magnolia. When she's not at work, she's probably exploring her favorite hiking spot, Discovery Park, or lounging on the couch with her 12 year old cat, Bamf (that would be an acronym for Ballard/Magnolia/Fremont).

    Kayleigh S.
    School: PIMA Medical Institute

Kayleigh grew up in northeast Tacoma and has lived in Washington State her whole life.  After attending high school she went to Pima Medical Institute for Veterinary Assisting which she graduated from in March 2014. Kayleigh has a huge passion for animals and plans to attend vet school in the future to become a veterinarian. When she is not busy at work helping adorable puppies and kittens, she enjoys going fishing at various places around Washington and seeing artists perform different kinds of music.  If you have any questions about your fun feline she is happy to help as she is the Cat Champion at VCA Magnolia.
