    Clara Nebbia

Clara was born in Brooklyn, NY. Her family relocated to the Bay Area when she was 9 years old. As a young child, she aspired to be an artist and was always drawing cats, dogs, horses, cows, and mice. Opal, the family cat, was portrayed with 16 neon claws on each paw! She then turned her interests towards veterinary medicine. As a teenager, it was her responsibility to take the family cats and mice in for vet care when needed. She volunteered at the Oakland SPCA and Berkeley Humane Society, walking dogs and socializing cats.
Clara earned her B.S. in Zoology from Colorado State in 2007. She spent a few years working as a veterinary assistant at a cat clinic in Brooklyn, then moved to the East Bay and worked at VCA Cottage Animal Hospital, where she helped provide care to cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents, and rabbits.
In 2010, Clara was very excited to join the VCA Madera Pet Hospital team, initially as a customer service trainer, then as front office manager.
Clara currently lives in San Francisco with her 8 year old Boston terrier mix, Radio, who comes to work with her almost every day. For fun, they like to go to the beach or go hiking. Their favorite day of the year is Dog Day at the Oakland A’s!
