    Erin Heiss

    Erin was born and raised in the DMV area. She has over 10 years experience working as a Veterinary Technician. She enjoys assisting with Dental procedures and diagnostic procedures.

    When she's not working Erin spends her time with her 3 Children and a long hair dachsund Mickey.

    Erin recalls never having a desire to work at any other job. She loves working in the Veterinary Field, and her dedication shines through in all she does, from meeting our clients and patients for the first time, to working with the VCA team members.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Katie Redeen

    Katie is from Bethesda, MD. She is one of our Veterinary Assistants.  She grew up with a love for all animals, at a very young age, knew she wanted to work in the Veterinary field.

    She graduated from High Point University, in North Carolina with a degree in Bilogy and is currently enrolled in a local Veterinary Technology program.

    In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering at the National Zoo and spending time with her cat "Jewel" and her two dogs, "Ralphie" and "Louie".

    She loves her job here at VCA MacArthur Animal Hospital and is proud to be a part of the VCA Family.

    Katie's compassion, love for animals, positive attitude and warm smile has been a great asset to our amazing team.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Jason Stankiewicz

    Jason is orginally from Clarksville, IN. He graduated from Georgetown College with a degree in Chemistry, while he served with the Kentucky Air National Guard. Prior to that, he was a Ceremonial Guardsman with the Air Force Honor Guard, at Bolling, AFB.

    Jason moved back to the DC area in the fall of 2010 and in 2013 completed a Veterinary Assistant program . Jason's long term goal is to progress through the Veterinary field and become a Veterinarian.

    When Jason is not working he volunteers at The National Zoo's Elephant House. Jason lives with his girlfriend Laura, and their three furry babies: Julep, Bacardi and Monster.

    Jason is a great fit here at VCA MacArthur Animal Hospital. He keeps us organized, and keeps everyone smiling. This may be his first job as a Veterinary assistant but his compassion for animals and team spirit has brought another shining star to VCA MacArthur Animal Hospital.
