Sometimes sick or injured pets need the care of a veterinary medical specialist. Emergency Care

In case of emergency, please call us immediately at 970-612-3000. 

 If it is after hours, please remain calm and call VCA Veterinary Specialists of Northern Colorado at (970) 278-0668 to get advice on your pet's particular situation. VCA VSNC is a 24/7 Emergency hospital conveniently located just to the east of our facility (201 W.67th Ct.).  They will give you instructions on how to handle your pet while enroute and give you directions to the hospital.  

What Is An Emergency?

Bring your pet in to see us if any of the following occur:

• Difficulty breathing
• Unstoppable bleeding
• Inability to urinate/defecate
• Heatstroke
• Bloated/distended abdomen
• Inability to deliver kittens or puppies
• Loss of balance, unconsciousness, or seizure
• Pain
• Major trauma/Injury
• Shock
• Poisoning
• Vomiting and/or diarrhea
• Lameness
• Eye injuries, sudden blindness, cloudiness or abnormal discharge.
• Allergic reactions
• Diabetic issues
• Severe lethargy
• Anything else that concerns you
