Lacey Charbonneau
Lacey joined VCA Love Field in April 2011. In her spare time she enjoys playing drums, guitar, and piano. Lacey is currently enrolled in the Comet Connection Program at the University of Texas at Dallas through a Dallas community college in the field of Molecular and Cellular Biology and will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology. Lacey has a passion for animals and school. She hopes to be veterinarian one day.

Arturo Gonzalez
Arturo joined VCA Love Field in March of 2011. He was born in Tamolipas, Cia Victoria, Mexico and attended the University of Mexico at Tamolipas. He receive his Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Medicine. Eventually he aspires to attend Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine and become a licenced veterinarian.
In his spare time, Arturo enjoys playing tennis and reading books about history. He also enjoys spending time with his 3 grown sons and their 3 dogs: Skippy the Springer Spaniel, Charlene the Basset Hound, and Sabrina the Chihuahua. -

Kyla Laughlin
Kyla has been a team member at VCA Love Field since 2010. She began her medical career as a human medical assistant, but decided she preferred working with four legged patients. Kyla has been working as a veterinary technician since 2007. She enjoys assisting in surgery, monitoring patients under anesthesia, performing dental cleanings, laboratory and microscopic testing, phlebotomy and catheter placement, as well as client education. In her spare time, Kyla enjoys anything outdoors including camping, swimming, and live music. She also loves playing with her two cats, Zebbie and Blanco and spending time with her financee, family, and friends.

Shelly Nice
Shelly had been in the animal field for over 15 years, first as an animal keeper and curator at a zoo, then as a veterinary technician. She enjoys educating clients about their pets needs, assisting the veterinarians during patient examination and treatment, monitoring anesthetized patients, performing radiographic imaging studies, and implementing clinician follow up calls to ensure client questions and concerns are addressed and patient care is enhanced through ongoing communication. through the Texas Veterinary Association, she became certified and performs continuing education throughout the year to stay updated on veterinary topics. At VCA Love Field Animal Hospital, Shelly is the Safety Coordinator in addition to her technician responsibilities. Her own pets include 3 dogs (Willow, Grendel, and Hoover) and 1 cat (Magic..aka Evil Cat as she is known when she comes to the hospital).

Sandra Pina
Sandra has worked as a technician at VCA Love Field since 2006. She graduated from Texas A&M in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences with a double minor in English and Business. Sandra enjoys client education especially pertaining to dental health, performing dental cleanings under anesthesia, phlebotomy, assisting in surgery, and monitoring patients during anesthetic procedures. She loves music and reading in addition to spending time with her family and close friends. She has 5 dogs-Gordita and Elvis who are brother and sister, Blanca, Buttercup, and Oliver.
