Technician SupervisorRae Ann Bower
Rae Ann Bower started with VCA Loomis Basin in 1996. During her years at our clinic Rae Ann has filled a variety of roles as a Technician Assistant, Outpatient Assistant and Veterinary Assistant. In 2009 she became licensed as a Registered Veterinary Technician and is one of our Technician Supervisors. Rae Ann is committed to attending current Continuing Education opportunities so that she can improve in all aspects of her technical skills. One of the biggest perks of her job is being able to see pets go home with their families, and using her skills to assist with that process.
Outside of work Rae Ann likes to spend time with her three sons (her fourth is on the way) and her husband. They share their home with their furry kids; a Great Dane named Bodhi, and their two cats Napali and Sushi.
Technician SupervisorLynn Dowling
Lynn was born in Lynchburg Virginia and moved to the Sacramento area when she was ten years old. She attended Western Career College and became a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician in 1994. In 2013 she obtained her bachelor of science in Biology from the University of California, Davis. Lynn joined LBVC in 2002 and currently she is our Night Technical Staff Supervisor. She has special interest in captive and wildlife animals as well as animal behavior.
Outside of the clinic Lynn enjoys being the youngest of five siblings, woodworking, gardening, yoga and doing handstands. She shares her home with a Rottweiler/Mastiff Mix, Rampage, a Chocolate Lab, Osteo, and three cats; Roshambo, Updog, and Chattarunga.
Technician SupervisorKeidy Gropp
School: Universidad Nacional, Escuela de Medicina Veterinaria
Keidy grew up in Costa Rica, and came to the United States to further her education once she finished veterinary school at Universidad Nacional, Escuela de Medicine Veterinaria. She did an externship at the University of California, Davis, Anoka Equine Veterinary Services, Washington State University and Rainbow Equus Meadows. She is currently working towards getting licensed as a Veterinarian here in the U.S. and she feels confident that she will accomplish this goal in 2015. She is very passionate about her career and finds the most excitement when working with critically ill patients. Keidy has been a member of our team since 2007.
When not working Keidy enjoys spending time visiting her family in Costa Rica, horseback riding, hiking, swimming and traveling. Saying that she is a soccer fan is an understatement. She shares her home with two Dobermans and one cat.
Technician SupervisorLinda Munos
Linda is our patient services manager. Linda was born and raised in San Jose. She had her first experience working in a veterinary clinic when she was 15 years old at Campbell Animal Hospital in Campbell, California, where she worked for 6 years. Linda subsequently worked as a purchasing agent for a large furniture store chain in the Bay Area before moving to Rocklin in 2000 and joining VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic in 2007.
Linda and her husband, Mario, have been married for almost 25 years and they have two daughters, Jennifer and Jamie. They share their home with Makana, a 14-year-old terrier; Duke, a silver tabby that is almost 10; Kaipo, an 8-year-old corgi with one eye; Max and Fred, both orange tabbies; and Russell, a 2-year-old Jack Russell mix also with one eye. In her time away from the clinic, Linda loves to cook and bake and spend time with friends and family.
Dana Brentson is a Lead Registered Veterinary Technician who joined VCA Loomis Basin in 2009. Dana enjoys working with animals and loves getting to know each of the patient’s personalities as they spend time with us.
Dana shares her home with her two dogs; Ginny and Gaige, her ferret Elora and her husband Quinn. In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing video games, and participating in a bi-weekly Dungeons & Dragons group. Dana is also an aspiring author and hopes to have her book series published.
Veterinary Assistant SupervisorJoana Arbizo
Joana Arbizo started with VCA in 2009 at VCA Elk Grove Animal Hospital. In 2010 she joined VCA Loomis Basin and currently fills the role of our Lead Outpatient Assistant. She loves interacting with our clients and their pets, and is part of our Cat’s Night Out team of cat friendly staff.
Joana carries her love of cats into her own home; which she shares with her Kitty Crew of Kujo, Lil Touchie, NaNyke, Baby Kitty Bubs, Mampi and Keetan. She is currently attending Sierra College working towards a bachelor’s degree in business management.
Away from the clinic Joana spends her free time with her grandmother, and dances ballet and jazz.
