Laurie Parenton, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
"I love the special and unique relationship that is formed between an animal and their human(s). To be able to assist in maintaining that relationship, through attentive and compassionate medical care and education, is what drew me to this profession. It is such an awesome responsibility to provide for those who cannot speak for themselves. My greatest joy at work is helping to return a beloved pet home to enjoy what's important - quality of life with their family."
Dr. Parenton was born in Tampa, Florida and after spending many years away for school, returned to the Sunshine State to be close to her family. While working as a CPA in Tampa, she realized that her true calling was veterinary medicine, focusing on small companion animals. She has one cat, Minou, a German Shepherd mix, Sherman, and an Aussie/Pointer mix puppy named Cooper.
Dr. Parenton enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 year old daughter when she's not here at our hospital!
