  • Receptionist

    Lisa Brooks
    School: University of Pheonix

Lisa is one of the bright smiles that you see when you walk in our door. She joined the reception team at VCA Lewis Animal Hospital in February of 2010. She has six pets with her at home. Her main squeeze, Miles, pictured here, is a Maine Coon mix. Lisa's other four cats are Lily, Uno, Dos, and Ty. Her newest addition to the family is Jacob, a black lab/hound mix. Lisa has a true passion for the heath and happiness of pets. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities and photography.

"Because I love them all, big and small. I wouldn't trade this job for anything. I finally feel like I am home!"

  • Receptionist

    Lauren Earp
    School: Howard Community College

Lauren joined our VCA team in 2007, and has loved spending these past few years with your furry companions. She spent her first four years as a kennel technician in our boarding department, and is now one of our receptionists that welcomes you and your pet to our hospital. She has two four-legged boys at home who brighten her life: Her cat, Butters, and her silly "milkshake of a mixed breed," Jude. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys photography (specializing in animal photos), good movies, writing, and sushi.

  • Receptionist

    Mikaela Fleisher
    School: Millsersville University of Pennsylvania

Mikaela has been with VCA since early 2012. She is happy to help with anything you or your pet may need while you're spending time with our reception team before and after your appointment. At home, Mikaela enjoys the company of her quartet of cats: Tippy, a long-haired, toothless, calico; Iris, another calico; Willy, a black siamese mix; and her newest addition, Thelma. Mikaela is now a published author, and continues to enjoy her free time reading and writing.

"Being able to provide quality service to clients and their pets is why I love doing what I do. All the loving I get to give the dogs and cats doesn't hurt either."

  • Receptionist

    Meaghan Slade

"Meaghan started working with the VCA team back in 2012 at VRA location in Gaithersburg. She joined VCA Lewis in April 2013. Prior to joining our team, Meaghan has worked in a few horse farms in Maryland and Virginia. Her love of animals is why she is here. When she is not at work, her furry children at home keep her company. Bentley and Spike, both Boston Terriers, are the love of her life. Going to the family beach house in Ocean City with her furry children, is the ideal vacation spot."

"My love and passion for animals is WHY I come to work every day!"

  • Receptionist

    Diane Swanson
    School: University of Colorado

Diane joined our team in May of 2003 and has been a valuable addition to the reception staff ever since.  She is owned by three cats; Boots and Bunny, her tuxedo's and Jules, a white and orange tabby.  Her special interests include anything pet related and gardening.

"In this crazy, dizzying world, my pets bring peace, comfort, and sanity to my life. I value sharing the joys and challenges of furry friends with other caring pet lovers. I feel very fortunate to spend my days in such a positive, satisfying work place at VCA Lewis."
