Still relatively new to the area and VCA community, Katie joined the team in March of 2013 and has enjoyed it ever since. She graduated from Towson University in 2012 with a degree in Art/Illustration, but after a senior year full of painting pet portraits, she realized that actually working with animals was where she wanted to be all along (though she still paints sometimes). Katie currently lives with a fluffy ragdoll cat named Berlioz and, distantly, an elderly siamese named Pippin (who lives with her parents.) In her spare time, she enjoys playing videogames and hanging out with her boyfriend (and cats!)
"My favorite part of working here would be getting to know the "regulars" who board with us. It always makes me smile when I can recognize a client's voice on the phone and immediately remember their pet's name. I know we're not supposed to pick favorites, but sometimes they're what make it easier to come in to work at 7am on a Saturday! I love being able to spend time with these special little (and sometimes big) guys while they stay with us. I've always considered myself to be a "cat person," but since working here I've really grown to accept dogs into my circle of appreciation (which means a lot to me!)
"Meaghan started working with the VCA team back in 2012 at VRA location in Gaithersburg. She joined VCA Lewis in April 2013. Prior to joining our team, Meaghan has worked in a few horse farms in Maryland and Virginia. Her love of animals is why she is here. When she is not at work, her furry children at home keep her company. Bentley and Spike, both Boston Terriers, are the love of her life. Going to the family beach house in Ocean City with her furry children, is the ideal vacation spot."
"My love and passion for animals is WHY I come to work every day!"

Diane joined our team in May of 2003 and has been a valuable addition to the reception staff ever since. She is owned by three cats; Boots and Bunny, her tuxedo's and Jules, a white and orange tabby. Her special interests include anything pet related and gardening.
"In this crazy, dizzying world, my pets bring peace, comfort, and sanity to my life. I value sharing the joys and challenges of furry friends with other caring pet lovers. I feel very fortunate to spend my days in such a positive, satisfying work place at VCA Lewis."
