VCA Veterinary Hospital of Leon Springs

San Antonio Dog Boarding

Going out of town? Here at VCA Leon Springs, we offer boarding for your dog while you are away!

Our hospital is equipped with a private wing of kennels reserved exclusively for canine boarders. Boarding here with us is especially ideal for those who have pets who have medical conditions, or require medication to be given. While here, your pet will be attended to by our fully trained kennel staff. The veterinarians are also on hand to provide any necessary assistance or care.

Our canine kennels are indoors and are properly climate controlled, for both temperature and humidity, ensuring that your dog remains comfortable throughout their stay with us. Our spacious facilities are sterilized between boarders, and we adhere to a rigorous daily cleaning schedule. Our hospital has a large enclosed backyard where each of our boarders are given outdoor playtime one-on-one with one of our kennel technicians several times a day. If you have two dogs who you would like to board together in the same kennel, feel free to speak with either or kennel or reception staff and we would be happy to accommodate your request!

We feed all of our boarders Hills Science Diet for Sensitive Stomachs, which is suitable for pets with normal diets, as well as those with sensitive stomachs. If your dog is on a special diet, or you would prefer to bring food from home, you are more than welcome to bring the food with you. We are always happy to accommodate any special feeding requests you may have. Likewise, although we always provide bedding, you are welcome to bring anything from home that might help make your dog’s stay with us more comfortable.

For the safety of all of our patients, we ask that your dog be current on the following vaccines at the time of boarding with us:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper/Parvovirus (Da2ppv)
  • Bordatella
  • Canine Influenza

Should your pet need any of these vaccines, we are happy to take care of them for you during their stay with us. Additionally, if you would like to have your dog receive a bath on the day you pick up, please let our kennel staff know!

Please feel free to stop by and tour our boarding facilities at any time!
