Andreia Stiffler
Veterinary Tech School: University of Sao Paulo, Brazil
I came from Brazil in 2003. While living there my love for animals led me to acquire a degree as a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine, and since moving to the USA I have been working as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
I have worked at VCA Lakewood for over 4 years and I love meeting all our clients and making sure their four-legged children get the care they need.
My husband and I have 3 cats, named Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, and several freshwater fish. We also have a 2 1/2 year old toddler, Eduardo, and our second baby boy is joining our family in December 2012.

Kelly Watson
Registered Veterinary Technician
Kelly Watson
Veterinary Tech School: Cedar Valley
Kelly is a Dallas native and has always been a true champion for neighborhood strays. She has provided a home, love and medical care for many over the years. She currently shares her home and her heart with two rescued Greyhounds and an abandoned Chihuahua. It was Kelly’s life-long love for all animals that prompted her to change careers after years in accounting and operations management. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Business Administration but after working many years in the corporate world, she decided to follow her heart and headed back to school at Cedar Valley.
Kelly graduated with an Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology and passed both the State and National Board exams to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
While she attended Cedar Valley, she was an integral part of her class, serving as the President of the Vet Tech Student Association, where she organized and participated in many animal-related programs in the community. She was also voted by the Faculty, Staff and peers at Cedar Valley as Student of the Year just prior to graduation. Kelly continues to support The Greyhound Adoption League of Texas and volunteers for Animal Allies of Texas.

Miranda McGee
Technician
Miranda McGee
Hey guys! My name is Miranda and I have been with VCA Lakewood since 2011. I grew up just South of Dallas in Cedar Hill and attended the University of North Texas where I studied special education. Before working at VCA, I did volunteer work at the Dallas SPCA and at an equine therapy ranch for special needs children. I have always had an extreme passion for animals, and as a child was always sneaking some sort of creature into my house in hopes of making it my own! Most of which, I did. I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters and all sorts of creepy-crawly things. Needless to say, I am working my dream job! In the future, I would like to specialize in emergency care and rehabilitation. I like to joke that I am owned by my 4 year old toy yorkie, Presley. I absolutely love getting to know our clients and their pets on a personal level and hope to continue loving on all of your furry critters!

Veterinary Assistant
Heather Hernandez
Hey guys! My name is Heather and I recently moved to Dallas from central California to begin working at VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital. It has been so rewarding to come to work each day and spend time doing what I love in a new state with such great people who have been so welcoming and friendly! I have two dogs and two cats who live in California with my family, their names are Cubby, Piggy, Mama, and Lily. I also have a Pitbull/Labrador mix who I recently adopted from a client of ours at the hospital! I named her Stella and she is absolutely perfect, I’ve been so lucky to give her such a loving home! I’ve wanted to work with animals since I was a little girl, so being granted this opportunity has been quite a blessing. I love my new environment and everything about Lakewood, especially the clients, patients, and my co-workers who make my new job such an exciting experience. In my spare time, I love cooking healthy meals and learning about nutrition, exercising and doing yoga, being a great mommy to Stella, and watching football with my family. I look forward to meeting all of you, especially the furry little patients!

Veterinary Assistant
Devyn Zickus
My name is Devyn. I just moved to Texas from Grand Rapids, Michigan in December of 2012. I am the newest staff member of VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital and I am so excited to be working here with this amazing staff. Before I moved to Texas I was part of the kennel staff at another animal clinic and got to love on dogs and cats all day. I have had a huge heart for animals since I was a little girl and I am going to be getting my vet tech license at Cedar Valley. My hope is to open up an adoption center here in Texas to help stray or surrendered animals find a forever home. My family has had tons of pets over the years, but we currently have two handsome dogs ( Tanner & Spencer ) & two cats ( Ramses & Waffles ).Being able to work with animals all day is something that I have always dreamed of doing. I am so excited to get to know our clients and give their pets the best care possible.
