Hello all! My name is Bridgette and I'm originally from Mansfield, Texas. I graduated from Mansfield High (Go Tigers!!!) and went on to receive my Veterinary Assistant Certification from the University of Texas at Arlington after two years at TCC.
My love for animals started at a very young age. I would take home any and every animal that needed "saving", which is exactly how I got my 2 current pets. After working as a technician at a sister hospital for three years, I found my way to Lakewood! I don't think I've ever had another job that I loved so much and found so absolutely rewarding.
I have a munchkin cat I rescued from VCA Sandy Lake Animal Hospital when I worked there. His paws were all badly burned when someone brought him in from the streets. He was fearful of everything and everyone, but formed a bond with me almost instantly. I got my 3-legged pit bull here at VCA Lakewood after a police officer saw him get hit by a car and brought him in to us. My heart melted the moment I saw his pit-iful face. He adjusted to his life with us very quickly! I have a beautiful & happy 3-yr old daughter, Hailey (who is definitely following in my animal-loving foot steps!) And a pink beta fish named "Swimming", my daughter's pet of course!
I love seeing our clients and their pets everyday, but I also love getting to meet new ones! So, hopefully we'll see you soon!
