Caring and very professional staff

Pet Name: GracieI have been a client since 1968 when it was Lakewood Animal Hospital. When VCA took over I was a little skeptical as VCA is a large organization. I was wrong have received excellent professional care for my dogs. They are very caring and do their best to address issues one maybe encountering with their pets. Our little Schnauzer is very ill and their communication via telephone from the Vet is outstanding. Kudos from me to VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital.

I called, they worked me in, I was given a room, offered water, then, I met Dr. Angell, who was a true angel. It's not easy to make the decision to let your pet go, but the compassion she shared and gentleness Toby received, made the whole experience peaceful. Toby went to sleep in my arms and I was allowed all the time I needed for this closure. RIP Toby Brown. I'll meet you at the bridge. Thank you Dr. Angell and all your staff that day on July 27, 2012

Pet Name: Mateo
These people were angels in human form. They saved my cat, Mateo, with a miracle pu surgery. My loving and wonderful cat was well treated and cared for during his entire 5 day stay in the hospital. they allowed me to visit after hours so that I could brush and hand feed him in order to help his recovery. The compassion they showed to me in this difficult time was overwhelming. These people are wonderful and I recommend them to anyone with an animal in need. My cat was blocked for the second time and within hours of death, they performed a complex surgery that took hours and returned him to me with a long life left to share his love and companionship. I thank them everyday for saving Mateo, making his surgery affordable, and showing me such warmth and compassion. -

I first went to Lakewood VCA many years ago when they were on Lakewood Blvd. At the time I had 2 dogs. We were treated extremely professionally by the staff and Doctors there. When time came for both of my babies to cross the Rainbow Bridge, (within 6 months apart) Lakewood VCA (by then at their new location) was there with care and support. They made the experience just a little easier to bear. I thank them so much for that!
Now I'm taking my new furkid to Lakewood VCA and Dr. Marchan is my doctor. He is wonderful to work with and takes the time to explain everything to you and answer any questions. The staff at the front desk is also a joy to deal with. -
Highly recommend this VCA facility

Pet Name: CinnamonWe recently had to put our beloved Cinnamon to sleep. She was 16 yrs old and had survived cancer once already. When the time came we brought her to this facility and we were so impressed by the caring and compassion from all the staff. They were so accomodating, we have a large family and quite a few of us went with her to the VCA. They gave us a room so we could all say our goodbyes and be with her in her transition. And a few days later even received a sympathy card, we were so touched. Now this is the only place we will ever bring our pets too as prices are very reasonable as well. Thank you VCA, you made a very hard time alot easier for our family.
