Nowadays excellent customer service is hard to find. But not at VCA Lakewood Hospital. Anytime you call or visit their facility you are greeted with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. This consistent amazing service has built our trust in them. We trust all our cats in their care especially with Dr. Cynthia Ribarich. Thank you VCA Lakewood Hospital for all the love and nurturing towards our pets.

Pet Name: Onyx
I brought my dog, Onyx, to the Lakewood Animal Hospital on a Saturday afternoon due to an emergency. Onyx's face had swollen up, he wasn't even able to open his eyes and he looked so scared and agitated. I was very scared and worried and didn't know what to do. The staff at the Lakewood Animal Hospital were so attentive and caring about Onyx. They took care of him right away and as soon as I walked in all my worries went away and I felt safe and comfortable knowing my beautiful puppy would be taken care of and back to normal in no time. The facility is clean and professional. The staff is so nice and understanding and the price was way lower than I would have imagined for an emergency visit at the vet which consisted of shots and antibiotics. I would not take Onyx or any other future pet to any other animal hospital and I highly recommend this hospital to anyone looking for the best care for their pet.

Dr. Cynthia Ribarich, DVM saved our precious ROCCO's (3 year old male Alaskan Malumute) life! We brought him in as we thought we were going to lose him, as he had been having ALOT of health problems and no one diagnosed his problem until Dr. Ribarich looked @ tested him and he had severe hypothroidism. He now acts like a puppy and smiles all the time. Dr. Ribarich you're an angel!!
Dr. Angel was amazing
-Jenny from Rossmoor, CA
I am sorry to say that we had to put our dog Buster down today from cancer. I just want to say that Dr. Angel was amazing. She was so comforting and so nice and it made it a little easier to do what we had to do. I will be recommending her to all of my friends with animals. My husband and I said tonight that we were grateful we got her during this time.
NO BETTER PLACE

I can not imagine taking my four cocker spaniels anywhere else. Dr. Morein was our vet for 30 years, and even now that he is the Medical Director at the new beautiful hospital he is there for us if and when we need him. The entire staff have been nothing but great and kind to us, Dr. Marchan is now who we see and he is just as great as Morein. I not only trust him with my Furkids I would trust them with my life!

Pet Name: Rocky
The great staff took such good care of my dog when we brought him to the emergency room after a bad fall. He ended up having to have surgery to repair a fracture he had between his elbow and shoulder. Dr. Marchan and all the lovely staff were so helpful and caring. Dr. Marchan called us a few times a day to let us know how our dog was doing. We were also able to visit Rocky anytime we wanted to. Thank you VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital.
Friend to Feral Cats
-K, Smith from Cerritos, CA
I had found a family of feral cats in my backyard and managed to trap all of them. Then came the problem of what to do with them. I was given vouchers for free spay/neuter services at VCA Lakewood, which turned out to be a godsend. Most spay clinics have limits on their feral patients per day, or you have to make an appointment weeks or months in advance. I called VCA at 10:44 AM and was told I could to bring them in that minute. (I found later that they normally spay/neuter only on Fridays, but feral cats don't schedule being trapped and they're willing to work with you).
The technicians and reception personnel were kind, courteous, informative and very helpful. The facility is lovely and very clean. They also have veterinary diet food for sale, and run education classes.
I highly recommend VCA, although due to a high volume of patients, you may need to wait for care. Even with the wait, it's absolutely worth it. These are great folks!
Great Care and Professional Staff
-Elizabeth Navock and Michael Dowd from Lakewood, CA
My boyfriend and I have 3 dogs Pete, Ursula, and Molly. The first time we went to the VCA was for a 4am emergency visit. Dr. Hargenrater worked with our budget to ensure Ursula got the care we needed. After that initial visit we have never went anywhere else. Dr. Ribarich is our primary vet and she has taken great care of Pete and Ursula. Molly has been in a few times for procedures that require overnight stays. Each time we have been able to come to office and have a little visitation time with Molly. We love VCA Lakewood and will continue to go there until we move.

Just wanted to say how pleased I was with the service when my boy Bronson went in for surgery of his eyes. Dr. Morein was excellent at explaining things to me and making sure that I understood his care and treatment. Thanks Dr. Morein for taking care of our boy!!
