Biography

Jason Collins started working at VCA Lakeside Animal Hospital in 2013. Born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, Dr. Collins is a proud alumnus of Mississippi State University (Go Bulldogs!), where he received a bachelor of science in Food Safety before graduating from MSU's College of Veterinary Medicine.  He first became interested in working with animals because of his experiences in high school while participating in a 4-H livestock club. Dr. Collins serves on the board of the Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Association and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.  His professional interests include surgery and dermatology.

Dr. Collins and his wife Stacy are proud parents of one son, Christopher. Their family is rounded out by a Basset Hound mix named Edgar and a Miniature Schnauzer mix named Chloe.
