Kara has a background in entrepreneurship and banking, alongside her volunteer work with animal rescue organizations. She was a small business owner in the pet accessories industry for over 12 years. Her love of animals and her desire to be of service were the inspiration for starting her business and eventually joining the team at VCA. Demonstrating her commitment to helping animals, she donated a portion of the proceeds from her business to animal rescue organizations. She enjoys cooking, reading, being out in nature, and spending time with her family and their two dogs, Alice and Oliver.
