Jenn grew up in Maryland, mainly in the Annapolis area. She started at a local veterinary hospital while attending the University of Maryland to receive a BS in Animal Science. She continued working at the same veterinary hospital learning all aspects of veterinary medicine and became certified in June of 2007. She recently moved to New Hampshire with her family and her menagerie of animals, three labs named Ben, Harley and Kimber, a mastiff named Nino, a dachshund named Nathan, her cat Buff, and lop-earred rabbit Bubba. She has been in the veterinary field for over 11 years and couldn’t imagine a life without animals. She is finding new activities in NH and is enjoying the natural beauty and cooler weather! -
Stephanie Michaud
Registered Veterinary Technician
Stephanie Michaud
Stephanie Michaud grew up in beautiful Belmont, NH. She graduated from Belmont High School in 2002 and began working various jobs. Having grown up with many pets and the love of animals, Stephanie decided to attend a veterinary technician program in Stratham, NH. This program suited her well and she excelled in her classes. The final aspect of her schooling was an internship here at VCA Lakes Region Veterinary Hospital and VCA Laconia Animal Hospital. Known back then as "Glitter Girl" due to her glittery appearance and vibrant attitude, Steph was an immediate great fit with our staff, clients, and especially our patients. We were pleased to keep Steph on as a permanent member of our staff. In 2008, she passed her veterinary technician board exam and became an officially certified veterinary technician (CVT) in the state of New Hampshire. Steph is now one of our key senior technicians often heading the team at VCA Laconia Animal Hospital. Though she has a special affection for black cats, she is sure to make every pet feel comfortable in our hospital. Her friendly nature and expansive knowledge make her a valuable member of our team. Stephanie feels fortunate to be able to reside here in the Lakes Region where she enjoys recreation on the lake in the summers, and snowmobiling in the winters. -
Amy Boynton
Technician
Amy Boynton
Amy was born and raised in the White Mountains and Lakes Region of New Hampshire. From a very early age, her love of animals was evident, as she was always bringing home animals of every variety, from injured squirrels and birds, to kitties she thought needed a home. After working for many years in the early education field, she made the decision to switch careers and begin training as a veterinary technician. In the summer of 2007 she was hired by VCA Lakes Region Veterinary Hospital as a technician, and one year later, found herself doubling as the newly appointed kennel manager. She finds her job very enjoyable, as she is able to interact with both clients and their pets on many different levels. On her spare time, she enjoys keeping busy with her two young sons, Mitchell and Tucker and her orange kitty, Ming-Ming. -

Allison originally hails from California but has been so many places since being part of a military family. She spent her high school years in Meredith, NH at Inter-Lakes High School and has a B.S. in business from Plymouth State University. She has been a great addition to the Lakes Region family! She is compassionate about all furry animals including dogs, cats, and rabbits. She previously worked at a veterinary hospital in Key West, Florida and has come back to New Hampshire to spend time with her family and friends and enjoy all that New Hampshire has to offer. She has 3 dogs of her own all mixed breeds and all rescued and loves each one of them equally. They are Lulu, a terrier mix, and Snoopy and Gizmo, both dachshund mixes. She has graciously accepted 2 more needy animals from the NHHS to foster so they can eventually find a loving home.
