Dr. Ruth Forde began practicing at VCA Lafayette Animal Hospital following her graduation from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Originally from Galway, Ireland, she also has a PhD in pain and stress in animals (Demontfort University, in the UK 2001) and worked as a Research Animal Scientist for the USDA at Purdue Univeristy before going back to vet school. Her husband, Jeremy, is also a Research Animal Scientist with the USDA. They are the proud parents of two children, Millie and Harry and their household also includes 4 cats, Rosie, Cutie, Crystal and Lilac, 2 dogs, Irie and Mac, and a house rabbit, Timothy. In her free time she enjoys hiking and biking and most other sports.
