Registered Veterinary TechnicianJen Kreitzer
Jen is a welcome addition to the VCA family, starting in January 2014. She received her veterinary technician degree from Colorado Mountain College and completed the VTNE in 2013. She had originally worked in the IT field for many years, but after volunteering with the Humane Society she realized she would much rather work with animals. Jen loves that there is always something new to learn in veterinary medicine, getting to meet our clients and their pets, and working with our fun team! Jen is originally from Bow, and is currently residing in Laconia with her husband. In her free time she enjoys traveling, photography, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, reading, and spending time with her husband, family and friends. She would eventually like to travel within the US and abroad to volunteer with spay and neuter clinics, and to also work with sea turtles. Her future goals are to become specialized in clinical pathology and dentistry.
Registered Veterinary TechnicianJenn Marcoot
Jenn grew up in Maryland, mainly in the Annapolis area. She started at a local veterinary hospital while attending the University of Maryland to receive a BS in Animal Science. She continued working at the same veterinary hospital learning all aspects of veterinary medicine and became certified in June of 2007. She moved to New Hampshire with her family and her menagerie of animals, three labs named Ben, Harley and Kimber, a mastiff named Nino, a dachshund named Nathan, her cat Buff, and lop-earred rabbit Bubba. She has been in the veterinary field for many years and couldn’t imagine a life without animals. She is finding new activities in NH and is enjoying the natural beauty and cooler weather!
Registered Veterinary TechnicianStephanie Michaud
Stephanie Michaud grew up in beautiful Belmont, NH. She graduated from Belmont High School in 2002 and began working various jobs. Having grown up with many pets and the love of animals, Stephanie decided to attend a veterinary technician program in Stratham, NH. This program suited her well and she excelled in her classes. The final aspect of her schooling was an internship here at VCA Laconia Animal Hospital. Known back then as "Glitter Girl" due to her glittery appearance and vibrant attitude, Steph was an immediate great fit with our staff, clients, and especially our patients. We were pleased to keep Steph on as a permanent member of our staff. In 2008, she passed her veterinary technician board exam and became an officially certified veterinary technician (CVT) in the state of New Hampshire. Steph is now our Head Technician at VCA Laconia Animal Hospital. Though she has a special affection for black cats, she is sure to make every pet feel comfortable in our hospital. Her friendly nature and expansive knowledge make her a valuable member of our team. Stephanie feels fortunate to be able to reside here in the Lakes Region where she enjoys recreation on the lake in the summers, and snowmobiling in the winters.
Kelly is a welcome addition to our staff, starting as a technician-in-training in April 2014. She has 2 black, domestic shorthair kitties named Jack the Ripper and Veralai Serenity, and a cockatiel named Gracie. Kelly is from Meredith, and she is a published and gallery displaying artist, roller derby rookie skater and non-skating official. She also enjoys costuming/sewing, juggling, games, reading, and community service (currently a member of Altrusa international, ASTRA, Greater Meredith program, and NHHS). Kelly loves coming to work everyday knowing that she is in an environment that respects the individual worker, and supports the worker in-job and non-job related endeavors. She knows everyday she gets to better the quality of an animal's life, and where it truly is all about the animals. Kelly is working towards completing her associates in veterinary technology, upon which she will be taking the veterinary technician certification exam. From there, she hopes to become specialized in behavior and dentistry.
Lindsay has been with VCA since 2009, but is a new addition to our team, having started with us in 2013. She previously was a technician at a cat-only hospital in the Boston area, and then later managed that hospital before deciding to move back to NH. Lindsay is originally from Franconia, but now lives in Derry with her black lab Mylie, domestic shorthair Baloo, rabbit Cinnabun, and sugar gliders Obi Wan and Kanobi. She enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and skiing, and enjoys reading in her spare time. She also spends many days working at an educational outreach zoo based out of Rochester, NH where she gets to work with a wide variety of exotic species! What she enjoys most about working with VCA is knowing she is helping to better the animals' lives, and getting to interact with owners and their pets. Lindsay has a special interest in pet nutrition, and attends any seminars she can on the subject.
Denise came to VCA Laconia Animal Hospital in August of 2012. Although she has been a life long lover of all animals, Denise began her career as a veterinary technician in 1997 after receiving her degree in Animal Science. She was born and raised here in NH, living in Alton with her four-legged children..."Yoda", a terrier mix as well as "Lucy" her cat. When not at work she can be found spending time with her “children”, friends and family, whether it be just relaxing at home, road trips in the Jeep or time spent on the lake, the rivers, or in the mountains.
Charlotte is a welcome addition to our team, having started in early 2014. She attended the Animal Behavior College and recently received her certification as a veterinary assistant. She is currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer, and also has certifications as a personal trainer and cosmetology instructor. Charlotte currently resides in Hill with her husband, her Pit bull Terrier Ruby, and her domestic shorthair Patches. She enjoys gardening and exercising in her spare time. What Charlotte enjoys most about working for VCA is knowing she is helping to save animals in need. Charlotte’s professional goals currently include working on her dog obedience trainer certificate.
