It is difficult to write in a small summary what John means to VCA La Mirada. His professional career with our hospital spans almost 2 decades and his dedication to pets and attention to detail in their medical care is impeccable. John has proven himself the glue that holds our treatment department together and has mentored countless technicians over the years. Although he loves working with all animals his personal passion lies in birds and reptiles. You can always count on John to bring one of his interesting pets to work from baby birds to exotic lizards. John will be celebrating his 20th Anniversary with VCA this coming July; we are very lucky to have someone like John on staff and his contribution to the hospital is immeasurable.

Technician
Christine Smith
School: CSULB, BS
Christine has been with VCA La Mirada Animal Hospital since January 2013. She is originally from OC but has lived in Long Beach for the last 4 years. Christine shares her home with her husband and a 1.5 yr old daughter. She has no pets at this time, but is hoping to get some in the near future. Christine has been a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) since 2010.

Veterinary Assistant
Jessica Bailey
School: Cal Poly Pomona
Jessica has been with VCA La Mirada Animal Hospital for the last 7 years. Jessica's passion is rescuing and fostering kittens, her own personal pets include a max cat named Tater Puff and a German Shepherd/Labrador Mix named Maximus. Jessica will begin school in the summer of 2013 for an RVT license.
She is our hospital Parasite Pro, so if you have any questions about parasites or flea control, she is the person to ask.

Veterinary Assistant
Maya Pinto
Maya started at VCA La Mirada Animal Hospital in October of 2012 as a veterinary assistant. She is currently attending the Veterinary Technician Program at Carrington College. Maya has brought a sparkling personality and has been a great addition to our practice with her positivice, up-beat attititude. Maya shares her home with dogs Rocco and Daisy and a cat named Sasha.
