Veterinary Support

  • Technician Supervisor

    Jacqueline Rice

Jackie grew up in NE Philly, actually right around the corner from the hospital that she now calls home.  She graduated from Archbishop High School in 1990 and then attended Manor College, she worked at VCA Knightswood all through high school and college.  She started working for VCA Knightswood in 1989 and has been with the team at VCA Knightswood for the past 25 years.  She currently has two family pets; "Charle" a golden retriever that is three years old and "Buddy" a terrier mix who is nine years old.  When Jackie isn't at work she enjoys spending her free time hiking, biking and spending time with her family and friends.

Why I do What I Do:  I love spending my time working with our patients and making them feel better.  I feel that it's an honor to be able to do what I enjoy doing everyday.

Special Note:  Jackie has been with us for such a long time that we wouldn't be able to do what we believe in everyday without her help and support.  Jackie has so many talents and it doesn't matter what she's doing at work, she does it with style and alot of bubbly personality.  You can usually tell when someone enjoys their job by what they put into it and she definitely enjoys everything she does for our hospital, team, clients and most importantly our patients.  She is a huge assest to our hospital and we are very thankful that she joined our team 25 years ago.

Why I do what I do:  I enjoy taking care of all animals and I have a great love for their well being.  There is nothing more fullfilling then saving a pets life and being able to place that pet back in their owners arms.

  • Technician

    Lyndsay Field
Veterinary Tech School: Vet Tech Institute

Lyndsay grew up in Levittown Pa.  She graduated from Central Bucks South High School in 2011 and then attended the Veterinary Tech Institute and received an associates degree in 2012.  She joined our family in 2014 and has been a great addition to our team.  She has two pets at home "Simon" her brown tabby and "Professor Snape" her ball python.  In her free time she enjoys fishing and shopping.

Why I do what I do:  I loved animals from an early age and would enjoy going to every visit with my parents when they took our pets to the veterinarian.  I do what I do so the animals have a voice that can speak for them and help them make those necessary decisions to make sure each one has a chance at a long and happy life.

Special Note:  Lyndsay has only been here for a very short time but has already proven to be an asset to our hospital.  We can't wait to see what Lyndsay will bring to our team in the future.  We are very fortunate we were able to have her as another member of our family.

Why I do what I do:  I truly love spending time with animals and making a difference in their lives. There is no better feeling then helping that patient and then sharing the great news with their owner.  I enjoy making a difference in the pet parents life as well.

Special Note:  Denise has been with us for quite some time and we are very fortunate she decided to make this her career.  She is such a dedicated and caring person for all pets and pet parents as well.

  • Technician

    Bridget Madak

Bridget grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from high school in 1978. Bridget joined our family back in 2001. She has two dogs "CJ" and "Emma".  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her two dogs as well as gardening and working with her arts and crafts.

Why I do what I do:  I have always loved animals from a very early age, I just couldn't get enough of them.  Each animal has it's own personality and just need some love and attention.  Animals can't talk like humans so they can't tell us when something is bothering them so it's up to us to figure it out, this is what I like most so I can play a part in making that pet feel better.

Special Note:  Bridget has been a long timer with us and she has brought so much to our hospital and our team.  We enjoy just observing her talking to the patients and trying her best to make them feel better.  She has always been an advocate for the animals.
