Tracei Holder, DVM, Medical Director

Biography

Dr. Holder was raised in Moore, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Zoology. After working for Marion Laboratories in cardiovascular pharmacology research, she attended veterinary school at the University of Missouri, graduating in 1995. Dr. Holder then completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Auburn University before beginning work in general practice. Her veterinary career started at New Hope Animal Hospital in Rogers, AR. From there, life took her to Champaign, IL where she worked for the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center as well as co-founded the Animal Emergency Clinic of Champaign County. Next stop was Kalamazoo, MI where she worked for the Southwest Michigan Animal Emergency Center and Referral Hospital at nights and the Kalamazoo Animal Hospital during the days. Following yet another move, Dr. Holder worked for VCA All Critters Animal Hospital in Sammamish, WA. Life then presented opportunity for her to return home to Oklahoma in late 2010. Dr. Holder was initially part of the team at VCA Woodland Central Animal Hospital in Tulsa before joining the wonderful staff at Kickingbird in May 2012. Dr. Holder currently lives in Stillwater with her husband Keith and new dog Blanche. They enjoy hiking, fly-fishing, and spending time with family. We are very excited to have Dr. Holder a part of our medical team!
