Receptionist SupervisorConnie Heitz
Connie Heitz has been a receptionist with us since March 2015 and became Reception Supervisor in November 2015. She has been an incredible addition to the VCA family, with her enthusiasm, versatility and leadership skills. She is dedicated to creating a comfortable and professional environment for her team and our clients, through creativity and extreme positivity. Why she loves working here: the positive energy, smiling faces, fast pace, and wonderful clients.
Shawn has been working here since 2010. The thing she says she enjoys most about her job is “the animals are the bomb." She was raised in Edmond, Oklahoma. She enjoys spending time with family: husband Shannon, son Dakota, daughter Alexa, daughter Bre, and son Hunter. Shawn and her family also share their home with their furry friends: standard poodle Trip, standard poodle Cozy, miniature schnauzer Jackson, miniature schnauzer Mia, and cat Daisy. Shawn’s hobbies and interests include cooking, gardening, grooming her dogs, and walking. Shawn is involved in Acts 2 UMC and Oklahoma-AKC.
Morgan Davidson joined the VCA team in September of 2015.
Crystal Ray joined the VCA team in May of 2015.
Alisha has worked at VCA Kickingbird Animal Hospital since 1995. Alisha was raised in Garden City, KS, but is a long time resident of Edmond and UCO alumni. She shares her home with her wonderful husband Michael and their fury friends Falken, Foxten, and Nuparu. Some of Alisha’s hobbies include hiking, camping, photography, and traveling. What she enjoys most about working at Kickingbird is all the wonderful pets and people!
Michell Smith is our Lead Receptionist. She joined the team August 20th 2002. Michell graduated from Moore High School in 1995 and is currently working toward an accounting degree from the University of Phoenix, for which, we are extremely proud. She owns her favorite type of dog, a Shih tzu named Stella and two kitties, Mogwai and Squeakers. “I enjoy all of the fun pets we see. I enjoy loving on all of the babies and also their owners, and getting to know everyone. I think that all the stories we hear and the bonds we build with our clients and coworkers - makes it feel like family.”
Vicky joined the VCA team in September of 2014. She had previously worked with us, for years, as a cashier in the pet store. We were happy to welcome her home because she has such a great personality. She knows so many of our clients by name, the moment that they walk through the door.
Ashley Sykora has been a member of the team since May of 2014.
