The friendly, professional staff here at  VCA Kickingbird Animal Hospital is made up of dedicated individuals who have made it their mission to help pets live long, healthy lives. To be true to the mission, each team member helps us deliver the best patient and client experience for both you and your pet.  We are always learning and striving to improve our ability to provide quality services for your pets.  If things get complicated, we are fortunate to have access to the nation's largest network of VCA veterinarians and board-certified specialists.

Over the years, we have seen our staff grow from one to over 40, we have seen our facility transform from a remodeled strip mall to a state-of-the-art hospital, but the most remarkable change has been a state of mind - how we see our pets today. For most of us, our pets provide us with unconditional love and acceptance - depending upon us. Pets bring us comfort and enrich our lives in ways that cannot be measured. They can sense our low points and giving us what we need the most - their loving presence. Our patients and clients are the reason we are here. We are planning for the future and we will strive to continue improving and learning for the benefit of your pets and your family.

Eternal Gratitude
Renee N from Edmond

My two precious 8 yr old Goldendoodles have been patients at VCA Kickingbird Animal Hospital since they were puppies. We have always gotten awesome care from the staff and Dr. McFarland, through regular checkups and periodic ailments. Three months ago I took my “first born” Molly in for an unexplained ailment. Dr. McFarland was not available so Dr. Holder offered assistance. Molly and Dr. Holder bonded instantly. She discovered that Molly had a large tumor that was causing the pain. I made an appointment that same week for surgery. Dr. Holder couldn’t have been kinder and more loving towards Molly, a dog she had just met. Dr. Holder went above and beyond in every way to make this traumatic ordeal easier on both Molly and me. The day of surgery I was called by Dr. McFarland who stated that Dr. Holder had Molly in surgery and explained what they had discovered and the decision I needed to make. After the call I was told that Dr. McFarland had scrubbed up and went in to assist Dr. Holder on the very difficult surgery. I was grateful he too was at Molly's side. Tomorrow will be Molly's first post cancer checkup. I can’t tell you how incredibly well my little girl is doing and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care she has gotten through the whole ordeal. I feel the love and dedication towards my beloved pets every time I visit there. Each staff member seems to go out of their way to provide the type of attention and care we all hope to get. I am eternally grateful to all of them.
