    Kellie Fortune
    Veterinary Tech School: Pima Medical Institute
    School: Pima Medical Institute, Vet Asst

    Kellie is a licensed veterinary technician who joined the VCA Kent team in April of 2009. She graduated from the Pima Medical Institute Veterinary Technician Program in 2012, earning an associates degree in veterinary applied sciences. Her pets include an orange tabby cat named Bella, a calico cat named Daisy, two little pomeranians named Chica and Bear, and a chocolate Labrador named Bailey. She enjoys watching movies and hiking local trails and parks. Some of her favorite past times are drawing and painting. She also has special interests in emergency medicine and looks forward to furthering her career.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Jessica Cain

    Jessica is one of our veterinary assistants. Being an advocate for pets has become her true calling, and she has been working with animals for almost 5 years now. She joined the VCA Kent family in October 2010 and has found a home here. Jessica has some furry family members of her own. She has Wallace, her energetic rat terrier, and Gertrude, her little Pekingese. In addition, she has three affectionate tabby cats named Uno, Anne Belle, and Beatrice. On top of her love for animals, she also has a deep passion for the Arts. Jessica enjoys painting, drawing, and always crafting in her spare time.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Sunny Lochrie

    Sunny is a certified veterinary assistant who found a home at VCA Kent Animal Hospital in June of 2013. She has always had a passion for animals and graduated from the veterinary assistant program at PIMA Medical Institute in 2010. Even as a child, Sunny loved to chase the chickens around the yard and cuddle with the cats at night. She currently has two cats, Mollow who is a domestic short hair and Eva who is a Lynx point. Sunny likes spending time with her son, Remy, and her husband, Kyle. She enjoys reading, watching movies, and being a mom.
