Rachael Vellandi, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Rachael Vellandi grew up in the Pacific Northwest, with an early interest in helping animals of all shapes and sizes. After completing veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, she returned to help the animals in the community that she loves. Dr. Vellandi joined the hospital in 2013. She believes that prevention and early detection of disease is the key to a long, happy and healthy life.  Her veterinary medical interests include neurology, surgery, epidemiology, and orthopedics, but her real passion lies in educating clients to better understand their pet’s health concerns. When not working, she enjoys exploring new places with a camera in hand and her dogs by her side. Tula, her cat, prefers to wreak havoc at home while she is out and about. On rainy days she likes to catch up on new movies, work on art and craft projects, and expand her understanding of the world around her.
