Kayla joined the VCA Kent Animal Hospital Team in March 2016. Kayla has always been an animal lover and spent some time volunteering at the Kent Animal Shelter before realizing that animals were her true career passion. She is the owner of Kimber, a young lab, Cleo the cat and Pooter the crazy cat. In her free time Kayla enjoys spending time at the dog park, cheering on the Seahawks and spending time with her family and friends. In the future Kayla hopes to further her veterinary career by becoming a veterinary assistant.
Shalesa has been an integral part of our reception team here at VCA Kent Animal Hospital since 2012. Shalesa grew up in Enumclaw, Washington and graduated from Ashmead School of Massage in 2007. She then went on to get her level one equine massage certification the same year. A self-described "country girl through and through" when not at work, she is usually out riding her horses and is very active with her drill team, Stirrin’ Dust. Besides her 3 horses, Poncho, Colt and Becky, Shalesa shares her home with 4 cats: Monsoon (aka Lulu), Itchy, C.B. and Tank (aka Tank weenie) As if things weren’t already crazy enough, we can’t forget about her awesome dogs Baylee and Chevy.
