All of us are very proud of Dr. Bergman for all of his contributions that have helped advance the field of veterinary medicine and provide effective new breakthrough treatments for pets. Among his many achievements, ONCEPT, the first commercially available vaccine for the treatment of melanoma was developed by Dr. Bergman in partnership with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Merial. It is the first and only USDA-approved, therapeutic vaccine for the treatment of cancer " in either animals or humans " and has been shown to significantly extend survival rates of dogs suffering from stage II or stage III oral canine melanoma. Thanks, Dr. Bergman, for your great work!
